What Students Say
Likes
- Campus life here is awesome. Anything that can be demanded is available in a pinch.
- The infrastructure is iconic. People from all over DU come here just to get pictures clicked.
- The crowd is filled with intellectuals and rarely will you ever find a person you'd not want to talk to.
Dislikes
- The way the syllabus is completed - slow at first and then rushed in the very last month.
- The number of assignments given in the rush period.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to study computer science and this is the best college in DU offering this course - which led me to choose it. There is 1 teacher for every group of 6 students (the ratio is 1:6). Teachers are well qualified and experienced and even provide individual attention to students which is quite rare in colleges. College exams are according to the year calendar and are perfectly timed. They are easy to pass for those who are willing to put in some effort.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are regularly made available in the college. The clubs and societies in the college continuously work to bag them and bring them to the students. Off-campus internships are also easy to bag as Hansraj is a well-renowned college.
Placement Experience
Placements are made available to students from the third year. The highest offer for the cs course goes upto 42 lpa with the average package being around 13 lpa. Most students successfully bag an on-campus placement. I plan to start a business after the degree, which is not the first decision that comes to mind after taking this course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for this course are exceptionally high by DU and even Hansraj's standards. In fact, it is the most expensive course in all of Hansraj and is one of the most expensive in all of DU. The cost of living though is more straining if you are not living in Delhi already.
Campus Life
Campus life is the highlight of a north campus college and this one does not disappoint! It is awesome with every single fast food joint you can think of, any kind of market you can think of, being available right outside of the college. Life inside the college is just as fun, mostly. There are a few niggles here and there - caused by our lovely principal, but overall, it is a good experience and the shortcomings can be ignored.
Admission
Opting for maths and general tests, along with English and any other two subjects in the CUET is compulsory for eligibility in this course. The examination form and details can be availed at cuet.samarth.ac.in. After the test, interested candidates can register at the DU portal of admission for application to the course.
