Course Curriculum Overview

The chemical engineering faculty was one of the best. The exams were well-spaced into 3 parts giving us ample opportunity to review the concepts in detail. The student-faculty ratio was also very low giving good guidance to students with concerns and doubts.

Internships Opportunities

There were multiple companies from all streams ranging from BHEL to OIL India pertaining to the field. The companies were from mechanical, chemical, computer science engineering, electronics as well as electronics and instrumentation.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible from the 7th semester and there were multiple companies visiting the campus spread across various months. Our batch was fully placed with an average CTC in the vicinity of 9 LPA. After getting the degree, I did not go ahead with the placements and went for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was very nominal including the hostel fees. The fee hike policy was very liberal and the fee was hiked only once during the 4-year course. We had 2 internships on campus. One was a shorter 3-month stint and the other was a longer 6-month stint during the last year of campus to gain practical knowledge pertaining to the field.

Campus Life

My social life was buzzing and full of energy at all times. The sports activities were very extensive and readily available within the hostels as well. The clubs were also very active and I was a part of the hostel team conducting regular events and activities.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities were top-notch with good cleanliness. The availability of clean water to drink was constant. The hostel warden was also available at all times to take care of any impending issues. It was a histel provided within the campus with single occupancy.

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

The admission was through the online entrance exam BITSAT. It was a very smooth process and the center was well-equipped. The minimum cutoff was 303 for getting any of the courses. It was in line with the previous year's cutoffs.

Interview Experience

No there was no Group Discussion or Interview. But there was a written online test BITSAT which was very well managed and very smooth. It was being handled by Prometric and the process was very smooth.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
