The college is very good in academics as well as in the extra curricular. Fees and management staff are the only pain you get here.
Entrance Preview
Entrance in MIT-Wpu can be obtained through the JEE Mains score as well as the MH-CET score. I myself got in through MH-CET.
Course Curriculum Overview
The very good thing about our college are the practical bits and lessons that have been introduced into our course like social internships and international internships at the end of third year. Our revised syllabus is really very well planned at giving us an in depth knowledge about the industries.
Internships Opportunities
MIT-WPU has a new concept of social internship in the first year and an international internship at the end of third year. Most students who have gone through internships are happy about their experience.
Placement Experience
The college has a tie up with a lot of Indian as well as internationally acclaimed companies. The placement record is really good every year with at least 70% placement in every field. Cummings , cognizant , IBM are well known companies that visit MIT every year. Every year the average package varies around 4 - 6 lpa.
College Events
MIT is known for conducting the best events in the country. Every year Mit conducts the National Robocon competition in which many colleges from all over india take part. The sports event 'SUMMIT' is also a famous national sports event. There are many other teams like accelaracers , piranha racing , pro-karters , skytrooper and also the famous cultural team known as Aarohan. Overall , one can find a team for any interest and hobby here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
MIT-WPU is really expensive.Our fees is a whooping 2.6 lakhs for the first year. Sadly this doesn't even include the exam fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scolarships are provides as follows- 50% Tuition Fee waiver for students who scored more than 170 marks in MHT-CET 2017. (Applicable for first year only) 50% Tuition Fee waiver for students who scored more than 200 marks in JEE (Main) 2017. (Applicable for first year only) 50% Tuition Fee waiver for Jammu & Kashmir migrant students.
Campus Life
There are lots of teams of every field of interest in the college and most of them are very well known and have won lots of awards.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel is located at a distance of 1 km. from the college. The rooms are airy and spacious. The Hostel + Mess charge is 1 lakh per year. The annulling point is that the College Mess is compulsory , if you want to join the Hostel. Thus the hostelites have to travel 1 km for food twice everyday.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni are very supporting. I did not find anyone being harassed by the alumni. Most of the alumni tell you their experiences so that you can always take better decisions.
Exam Structure
The exams are placed at appropriate intervals , but the lab periods are tiring. As we have continuous evaluation , we have to submit lab reports and activities almost every week which is really tiring. Exams are conducted in the trimester pattern , with one mid sem and one end sem exam in each semester.
Faculty
The faculty is very well qualified. Every teacher takes utmost interest in teaching , which makes learning fun. Teachers also take extra efforts in the form of presentations , to make sure that every student understands the basic ideas and concepts.
