Admission
Banaras Hindu University ITM University Amity University (where I was accepted and ultimately chose to study) I was fortunate enough to receive confirmed admissions from a couple of them, including Chandigarh University, which stood out in various ways. Why I Chose Amity University Over Other Colleges While I had several options, I chose Amity University due to the following factors: Infrastructure & Facilities: Amity University offers modern infrastructure, from fully equipped labs to advanced libraries. Other colleges I applied to did not offer the same level of resources, which played a significant role in my decision. Placement Opportunities: Amity University has a remarkable track record for placements, especially in fields like Engineering, Commerce, and Management. The university collaborates with global brands, and its placement rate is among the highest in the region. Other colleges had decent placements, but tie-ups with major firms like Microsoft, Amazon, and Deloitte stood out. Affordable Fees and Scholarships: Compared to other private institutions, Amity offered more reasonable fees and multiple scholarship opportunities, making it financially feasible without compromising on quality education. Vibrant Campus Life: The campus life at Amity is dynamic, with a variety of clubs, extracurricular activities, and events, which helps students develop holistically. This aspect gave Amity an edge over the other universities. Banaras Hindu University: I didn’t make it through due to the high cutoff in their entrance exams. My score was slightly below the required cutoff. ITM University: The competition was intense, and although I performed well in the entrance exam, the interview process did not go as expected, which ultimately led to my rejection. Reflecting back, I could have prepared better for the interview rounds and spent more time refining my approach.
Faculty
Batch Profile and Classroom Learning at Amity University Raipur: 1. Class Size and Student Strength: Class Size: Each class generally accommodates around 50-60 students. The smaller class size promotes better interaction between faculty and students. Total Strength: In my specialization (Finance, for instance), there are about 150-200 students spread across different sections. The overall strength for a degree like B.Com Honours or B.Tech can range between 400-600 students, depending on the course and year.
