LIFE AT ST THOMAS, BHILAI

The real world exposture is zero, no industrial visits and no presentation and no modern teaching methods are provided and adapted. For this field atleast modern teaching methods should be adapted. Teachers should work more on giving practical knowledge, more internship opportunities should be provided. Industrial visits should be increased. Preparation for Group disscussion and interview shold start.

Bcom was for 3 years and the fee for per year was about 20,000, so the total fee for 3 year was about 60,000 only. Fee structure is quite reasonable and affordable. It includes all the fee like Admission fee (one time), tuition fee, lab fee, sports fee ,etc. No extra fee like exam fee or club fee etc. I passed during the COVID-19 year so then also their was no change in the fee structure. Talking about scholarswhip there was such scheme except for ST/SC scholarship scheme which was provided by government, which also has certain conditions to fullfill after the approval only 12,000 -15,000 is in students account. Each year you have to fill the scholarship form.

There were literally no annual and technical festivals in the college. Altough i was in covid batch but other than that also their are no such fest in the college. And still no functions and fests. Talking about the library it was big and students do have access to all the books available. Also it has kinds of books available in the library. Students can even go and study in the library. Big sports ground is there inside the campus but rarely sports asre played. No as such motivation for sports or any other curricular activities.

For Bhilai, Chhattisgarh there are less number of college so beacause of legacy and name I opted for this college. I didn't applied for any other college other than this. Talking about the admission process it is easy and hassle-free. No exams have to be cleared, on 12th basis you can get admission.

Students to faculty ratio is just fine as it is managable. Students are divided in sections so that teachers can focus more on each student. Faculty to students relationship is also good as most of the teachers are supportive and helpful, they guide the students in other fields also such as internships, projects, sports, curricular, etc. There are three main final exams other than that internal assessment and practicals are their. Exam difficulty level is moderate, as many students clear the exam even after studying only for one night. Only few fails.

There is no Gym inside the campus. Cafeteria is inside the campus, it is big and good. Hostel for both boys and girls is their that to inside the campus only. For both the time limit is 7 in the evening, after that they cannot go out. Famous place to hangout was cafeteria only.
