Course Curriculum Overview
No. We had zero industrial visits, zero campus placement. Not a single ompany came to our college for placement. And No, no grooming of the students. All that the teachers did was reading out the book that is in English and translating it into Hindi and calling it Teaching. In the three years of my education in this college I feel like I have learned literally nothing from the college teachers. All the students had to join some sort of tuition for the actual learning.
Placement Experience
No company visited our college for placement in Bcom. Only one company has ever come to our college for placement, that is Amul. And it was not for the students of commerce, it was for Bsc students.
College Events
Our institution celebrates several cultural festivals, like Navratri, ganesh puja and Holi celebration in the campus. Apart from these we also had annual funtions every year and all students were allowed to participate in the different performances. We used to celebrate teachers day as well. The selection procedure in all these functions were pretty simple, the students just had to get their names written in the list for the selection. And they had to prepare something that they are good at and show their talent to the person assigned and if they clear the screening they are in the team.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the courses that I had studied was pretty affordable. It was between 15-16K each year. Mode of payment accepted were cash or cheque. Yes, there was transparency in fee- breakdown, but many things that were said did not actually happened in the college. Like, there was no proper sports facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college did provide scholarship for minority students and for some castes. But I did not belong to any of them. Then, there was a scholarship for the students who attained more thn 80 percentage in their 12th grade.
Campus Life
The college is a girl's College, so speaking gender ratio is not possible. We did not have anyy cultural society. Politics was also very lame. Teacher themselves used to decide who is going to be the president. no extracurricular activities. I've spent three years in that college and literally no debate or any other sort of competition happened. Our college sports teacher was a very worthy teacher and that was the only good thing about our college. inter-college sports competition was organised every year and most of the times our college students have won.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students were very helpful to us. They helped us in finding the right books and notes and some of them have helped me study more then the teachers of the college ever did.
Admission
I chose this institute because it was considered one of the best colleges in durg-bhilai for Bcom, also I knew one of the teacher who suggested me to get into this college. For the admission I just had to submit my 10th and 12th results then the first list came out after a week with my name in it and the college counselor told me that I had to get registered before the second list comes out so I did. They were not ready to tell us the exact seats for the subject. After a while I realised that everyone who had applied has got into the college, the whole first list second list was a scam.
Faculty
The lecturers did not have any industry experience. They were the worst teachers I've ever had. Some of the lecturers were literally the students who had just completed post graduation from our college itself, and they were teaching just as a part time job they had no interest or expertise in the field.
