A college with little or no campus area. but a college worth studying.

MSIT is currently the only ragging-free college in Kolkata. So if you want to make good memories , study well , know your subject and wanna be decently placed and still enjoy your college life with your friendly seniors along then MSIT is the right place for you .

I wrote WBJEE exam to land up in this college. No there was no interview process regarding admission. MSIT is most famous for its B.tech civil engg. Course and it is unputdownably the best private engg college in Kolkata to study civil engg . I always wanted to study civil engg because it has more no. of scopes compared to any other engg. discipline. and also because civil works interest me a lot.

The course is going quite good. The focus on practical learning is the most in MSIT and that is what makes it stand out in the crowd. All types of engineering are taught in MSIT except chemical, printing and other non-core engg.

No our college has not provided us internships till now bcoz we are in 1st year. But they have partnered with internshala to provide us internships . packages vary according to choices drastically.

Placement scenario is decent. Every year around 70% students get direct placements and the figures are increasing every year. The major companies include TCS , wipro, Accenture and a lot more. Average package is decent enough and varies each year. But gets better each year.

Tech Xtra (intra technical fest) , Sportaract and a lot more fests are organized. Biggest fest is our inter college technical fest Paridhi. Average footfall is just huge. Organising was well and college authorities supported a lot.

It took rs. 20000 for the wbjee counselling process that had to be paid to the wbjee board. Then around rs 60000 was required to be paid to the college for the 1st sem .

College helps us to get scholarships . I am presently applying for the WBFS scholarship scheme through my college.

Extracurricular activities are there from time to time. One has to just keep up with the concerned seniors to know all about them.

The hostel rooms were single and sharing both depending on choice. PGs were there . prices vary but prices are decent. No overhiked prices. Food is always OK.

Alumni interaction is quite student friendly. No problems at all .

On one or two certain days we even have two labs a day. so those days are a bit tiring but on other days, routine is well paced giving students time to relax their brains.

MSIT has immensely qualified and experienced faculty in teaching the courses. They are very interactive. The standard of teaching is high but they always teach keeping in mind so that the average and below average students also can understand their lessons.
