Likes

College organises DJ nights very frequently for hostellers.
Campus is full of greenery and campus life is good.
Good mess food and hostel facilities are also good.

Dislikes

The size of campus is really small according to need.
Sometimes Faculties are not cooperative.
The exam papers are set really difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I have interest in Computer Science Engineering. 1:85 is the faculty: student ratio. Ph.D. is the minimum qualification and teachers are good at their work. Term exams were on time and it is quite difficult to pass the exams.

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Cognizant offered the role of the service provider on a stipend of 25000. Infosys also offers a stipend of around 20000 -30000. Wipro offers a stipend of 20000. Dell offers a stipend of 30000-40000. Samsung offers a stipend of 25000-30000.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement from 5-6 Semesters. Companies that visit the campus are Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Dell, Adobe, and many more. The highest package is 40LPA, and the average is 5LPA. 85% of students get placements. After my degree, I will gain experience from 2 years of job and then pursue an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

This year fees of BE is 100000 per sem and last year it was 85000. No scholarships, you will not get any financial assistance in fees but university assists in funding for startups The job varies from student to student according to their skills salary varies from 4-40LPA.

Campus Life

Bienvennue is the annual fest conducted in December and Chitkara University organizes Hackathons and many other tech fests periodically. Almost all books and journals are available in Library in both softcopy and hardcopy forms. Electricity plugs on every table, AC in all classrooms. 4 Badminton courts, Cricket ground, football ground, and almost all sports facilities are available. Theatre Club, Dance club, Music club, Photography club, and many more.

Hostel Facilities

1 Almirah, Bed with mattress, Study table, and chair are provided in a room. Meals are quite good in a mess and the mess menu changes every few months. Hostels are allotted on the UHostel website of Chitkara University. The locality for the renter room or PG is either Rajpura or Banur.

Hostel Fee: INR 124000 per year

Admission

Eligibility for this course is 75% must in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in 12th grade. The application form is available on the official website of Chitkara University. We will get a confirmed seat if reserved on time. No, I don't think any improvement is needed in the admission process.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Life at Panjab University

Placement Experience:

In our college students need to have 6CGPA to still in campus placements and our college have a Club that overseas all the placement oppertunityies and the placement starts from 7th semester onwards when students starts there seventy semester the company's starts visiting campus for placement and internship opportunity as well

Saga of my life

Placement Experience:

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

Nmims Chandigarh for btech review

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Honest insider review - Chitkara University, Punjab

There was no such entrance exam sort of thing. they were just expecting a minimum percentage in the boards examination that too was very low to be honest. i didnt found such difficulty for the admission process as i had scored good marks in the 12th board. The application form was available on the official website of the university. The fees has been increased the last time i toook admission. It took 162,000 for 1 yr of college fees. No reservation benifits were availed by me being a GENERAL. Overall, the admission process was easy i found no diificulty. Although, they can improve the communication hrough the intermediater who accepted my form and took me thorugh the admission process. as it was online, i found some difficulty in communicating with themaslso havinng some misunderstandings with them.....Read More
