Really awesome college

Overall college is good. The bad thing about the management is that they don't support students for doing some extra activities.

Comedk I scored 89 marks in comedk rank around 8600. I opted BMSIT because it has good placement record also it is related to bmsce.

I opted mechanical engineering branch.It was a wonderful experience.Since BMSIT is vtu research center for mechanical department we got few chance to develop new project. Bmsit mechanical department focus a lot on mini project and on research.HOD of mechanical and other Senior faculty helps a lot in developing new idea and research.

Yes college provide internship.but there is no stipend given.All internships are paid internships.And its not mandatory.students can do internship of there own also.College provides a NOC letter. Overall internship experience is good.

For CS Ec It and other department its almost 90% placement. For cs big company like direct i Amazon Yahoo came for placement. They provided package up 16lc. The average package was 3.5lc. For mechanical very few core company visited the college.In fact only 3 company. Mechanical placement % is around 50%.

Cultural fest happens every yaer in BMSIT. Its a mega fest. Sponsors are really big brands. Its really really good.I think bsmit fest is famous in Bangalore. There are department fest also.Departmental fest are technical fest.Other celebration include ganesh puja, holi and idu puaja.

Fee structure for comedk students is a bit expensive.Its around 1.70lc per annum. It includes all other things like exam fee, university fee etc. We can pay the fee in installments. Management fee is really high it is about 2.5lc per annum whereas cet fee is around 70k per annum. We don't have to pay any other money after fee deposit.

Scholarship are provided for CET students. One more scholarship is for students scoring more than 80% in vtu exams. Allahabad bank located inside the campus which provides education loan for students whose home town is Bangalore. For students outside Bangalore have to arrange there own .

Campus life is really good. Gender ratio is almost equal. All the labs are well equipped and have updated tools. Sports facility is really poor in bmsit. Only one small sport room is there which has very facilities.One basketball ground is there. Technical seminar happens very frequently. Robotics group is there in bmsit.

Bmsit have 2 hostel one for boys which is inside the college campus.The hostel fee is around 75k per annum. The foods in hostel are ok means its not very good.Breakfast lunch evening snack and dinner are provided every days.On Saturday night dinner is not provided. Girls hostel is in yelahanka 5th phase. Its not inside the campus

Alumni meetings also happens once in semester.Its really really helpful for students. They give idea about the subjects. They tell about the placement process and other things like higher studies.

There are 3 internal exams followed by semester exam. Talking about labs all labs are well equipped and updated.All the lab instructor are helpful. Its is really important to score good marks in internals. Internal exams happens once in every month. Semester exam is conducted by VTU. Semester exam are tough as compared to internals. But if you score good in internals then overall marks %is good.

I got admission after writing comedk exam. In counselling process i opted BMSIT. Comedk counselling stars from June first week.during counselling process we have to fill our choice for college.based on comedk rank we get chance to get admission in our college of choice.

To be honest only senior faculty of mechanical department are really good.New faculty are not that good and have very little knowledge. Other department like Ec and Cs they have best faculty in BMSIT. In fact EC faculty so cooperative that helps students to prepare for GRE and gate.
