Campus life was pretty great. I liked that.
Infrastructure is amazing. Single sharing AC rooms.
We had a lot of fests so many things to look forward to.

Course Curriculum Overview

They were easy course curriculum. Students just need to pay attention in class and do the case studies regularly. It is very hard to fail in Trichy. The system is very strict but teachers are very friendly and approachable.

Internships Opportunities

Big 4 companies visited the campus. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and even McKinsey offered roles as well. Now even BCN and EY Parthenon are visiting the campus. We had roles varying from back-end consulting office to, Management Consulting to Tech Consulting to marketing to sales. Almost all the profiles were offered.

Placement Experience

Placements are above average compared to other CAP IIMs. Average CTC is now around 18LPA is what I see. I am a career woman, I switched companies twice and now am in my third company. Almost 95% of the students get placed with a few exceptional cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide placement assistance, scholarships are now being given to DML (Directors Merit List students). Some Summer internships offer stipends as well. It cost around 16L for me to study from 2018-2020.

Campus Life

Campus life is quite fun. We have regular fests like Dhruva the cultural fest, Nishtha the Business fest, and other talks that keep happening on campus. Apart from that, Sangram the sports fest, interclass cultural fest, all of them happen. Campus life is quite active and keeps you busy.

Hostel Facilities

I lived in the girl's hostel PGP 3. The food in the mess was very nice. Better than other IIMs that I visited. We had special meals on festival days as well. Room availability was better then because we had single rooms.

Admission

The Admission process was smooth, and eligibility was a CAT score. The waitlisted students need to pay money now to see the waitlist. That could probably be eliminated to ensure students have better clarity on the courses or colleges they need to apply to.

Interview Experience

We had a written essay round and a PI round for CAP colleges. The essay round was pretty easy. They gave us a topic and told us to choose for or against it. PI was more focused on resumes and previous experience.

Admission:

Thiagarajar School of Management being one of the premier institutes in South India and PGDM being its Flagship Program, I had no hesitation in choosing Tsm. The high advantage of PGDM is that you will be involved with a lot of practical sessions rather than classroom learning. Moreover, PGDM is offered only by institutes recognized by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and TSM has been also awarded NBA and NAAC Accreditation. Pgdm is where you can build your soft skills and the curriculum is flexible and does not have to follow university standards and also can be changed by the institutes according to the industry requirements. For admission, You need to take up entrance tests like MAT.CAT,XAT,CMAT and the candidate must have 3 years of bachelor's degree from a recognized university by the UGC. Candidates can apply for admission once the dates are released and the shortlisted candidates need to attend the GD followed by the PI. The admission process starts with CAT Exam on the last Sunday of November Every year. The eligibility to give the CAT exam is that one must have more than 50% in 10th, 12th and Graduation. After the CAT results are declared, one must go through a Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. After these processes are done, a composite score will be generated based on 10th, and 12th, graduation marks, Work Experience, GD, PI and WAT performance.
