The admission process starts with CAT Exam on the last Sunday of November Every year. The eligibility to give the CAT exam is that one must have more than 50% in 10th, 12th and Graduation. After the CAT results are declared, one must go through a Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. After these processes are done, a composite score will be generated based on 10th, and 12th, graduation marks, Work Experience, GD, PI and WAT performance. The admission process was extremely smooth. The candidate gets a logic ID and password from the institute. The portal contains all the guidelines for registering for a particular course. It begins with the candidate selecting the domain, PGPM or PGPM-HR depending on their eligibility. Post that a personal data form is to be filled by attaching all the relevant proofs. The last section is where the candidate has to pay the term-1 fees. This is how online registration takes place. There is a common admission process for 9 IIMs known as Common Admission Process (CAP). The 9 IIMs are IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu. The candidate has to appear for only one interview to get admission into these colleges. Based on the overall Composite scores of the candidates as per different college's criteria, the offer is made to the candidates who have cleared the minimum cutoff decided by various colleges. I applied for FMS Delhi, SPJIMR, IMT, IMI, DFS, DSE and obviously the IIM through CAT. I was not shortlisted for FMS. from all the other colleges I got the call from ( except BLACI )and was interviewed in all the other colleges. I was not able to convert IIM K for SPJIMR I went to the second round. I then got rejected, and Shillong could not convert, and when I finally landed up in IIM Trichy, one of the best B-school among new IIMs. I am from the general category, so I did not avail any quota. And the shortlisting criteria was a minimum of 80 percentile in each section and 95 percentile overall. The admission process for CAP interviews was common.
