Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Though the Course Curriculum is good, All pvt. engineering colleges have approximately similar types of curriculum for B.tech but it is not very much liked by the students. I chose Btech in CSE because seeing the outer world it is very rapidly growing and also has very technological advancements and flexibility. The qualification of the faculty is very much good. ( maximum faculties are from top IITs or highly Qualified in their respective field) KIIT has a 12: 1 faculty-student ratio with top numbers of qualified faculties giving hands-on experience in various fields. The teaching method is very far good. Quality teaching including video presentations tv lectures digital notes. They try everything which a student can easily understand. There are two exams in each sem: One mid sem of 20 marks, one end sem of 50 marks and between 30 marks internal for which teachers take various quizzes class tests, and presentations from students.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to me, the fee hike policy is after every 3.5 to 4 years. KIIT increses 30000 . Graduating from btech will cost under 175000 per sem (total 8 semesters) and hostel fees from 28,000 to 50,000 according to choices including mess fees. though there are many numbers of scholarships programs in kiit some among them: 1. KIITEE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP which provides scholarship to the top 1000 candidates during the college period 2. kiit merit scholarship which varies from INR 5000 TO 10000 to the top rank in semesters exam for six months. Financial assistance is also provided by kiit respective to the courses applied. there is 100% job in campus placement with an average stipend from 10,000 to 60,000

Campus Life

4.5

Life on campus is a very exciting and vibrant experience for students in KIIT with the benefits from nature as well surrounded by trees everywhere. Social Life: Kiit provides an overall environment for social interactions and forming friendships among peers providing experience participation in many societies coordinated by seniors according to their fields of interest. Clubs- Kiit provides a wide range of clubs and societies with different interests such as cultural clubs, sports clubs, technical clubs, and literary societies, these clubs organize activities, workshops, competitions and events throughout the year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility is very well managed. The hostel provides rooms equipped with basic furniture such as a bed, study table, chairs proper ventilation and proper storage space as also study lights, wifi access, laundry facilities, washing machine access, 24/7 security and access to sports facilities. Hostels provide mess with coloured walls depicting food from various states basically showing diversity. The menu is we get everything in non vegetarian like chicken, fish, egg weekly four days. students have their choice depending on menus for both vegetarians and non-veg.

Admission

There is an exam of KIIT itself called the KIITEE ENTRANCE EXAM. The main thing is that the entrance exam costs you zero rupees. Just go to kiitee.kiit.ac.in/kiit/admission for all the information regarding the entrance exam and about kiit whatever you want to know. The eligibility for the course (B.Tech) is 10+2 or lateral entry is also allowed. From the application form to application dates, exam dates times everything is there on the above-mentioned website. Candidates who belong to SC have 15% reservation and candidates who belong to ST have 7.5% reservation The cutoff the previous year was 26984.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

IT WAS A CLASH IN OPTION BETWEEN KIIT AND VIT, KIIT WAS FIRST TO OUT THE RESULT AND ASKED TO COMPLETE THE ADMISSION AND ALSO KIIT IS CONSIDERED VERY WELL BY MY PARENTS. THAT's it.

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

Also there are companies like Amazon or GOOGLE as well. The approx percentage including off and on campus is more than 90%. My plans are basically to explore my entrepreneurship skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
