What Students Say
Likes
- Faculty were good and were not too strict with us, friendly crowd.
Dislikes
- Lack of proper infrastructure for sports and fests were hardly conducted in my college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, I had a keen interest in accounting and finance. And it was in line with the areas I had studied till 12th and wanted to study after graduation. There was an appropriate number of teachers for the batch, they were highly qualified and they used to provide me with a depth understanding of the concept whenever any doubt was raised from my side. To be honest, COVID-19 made it super easy for everyone to score marks, I physically appeared for 1st and 6th semesters, rest of them happened online. For exams, I would suggest studying 10 years thoroughly which all of us did.
Internships Opportunities
As I mentioned I didn't apply for them but they ranged from marketing intern, social media manager, finance intern, and others. If you're active and take part in regular events you can get some good opportunities from your network as well. I don't remember the companies which were there at that time offering internships. There is an internship fest conducted annually.
Fees and Financial Aid
DU's college fees remain always remains reasonable I graduated by paying approximately 37k combined for the 3-year course. I guess it is quite affordable and the quality and tag you get are invaluable. I don't know about scholarships, I guess they should be having something there as well. I didn't apply for internships as I was occupied. You get a lot of opportunities in the areas of business development intern, marketing intern, social media manager, etc for some startups and firms.
Campus Life
Well DU is famous for its fests and events, which are conducted throughout the year at different colleges, one can attend them, and as I mentioned earlier as well, one should stay updated on the details, the college had a decent library of all the books related to the curriculum used to be there, my college was short on the infrastructure for sports only had a basketball court. There are many societies run by college faculty along with students one should definitely enroll in them to make a network and to build personality.
Admission
At that time in the year 2019, it was an offline admission process, cut-offs were released on the website and students has to visit the college and submit relevant documents, at some colleges there was a lot of waiting time. Eligibility is as per the cutoffs on the percentage obtained in class 12th, stay updated visit DU's official website, and follow some du related pages on Instagram. I think the process would have improved a lot since then, don't know the prevailing process as of today.
