Remarks

Any college as it's own positives and negatives. We have a lot of positives and a few negatives which are being worked out. The college focuses on improvement in student life, faculties, and the college itself as a whole.

Entrance Preview

CET, 909 Rank. I opted this college because it's the number one private college in Karnataka. My residence is in Bangalore and the college is about 10 kms from my place of stay. It offers wonderful opportunities and has an amazing infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is based on the concept of outcome based education. It has many course objectives, program objectives, mission, vision of the department, course, and so on. The syllabus is such that it'll help us to learn in theory and practically. We have a dedicated labs to help us learn practically. It is also based on industrial needs, so it's helps us to cope better with we first join and industry.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, my department does provide internship opportunities in other companies. The stipend varies by a huge range as it depends on the job requirement and the company offering the internship. The experience is overwhelming. We get to learn a lot. And the exposure we get on an industrial level is enormous.

Placement Experience

4

About 86% we placed last year. The process of placement for this academic year has been started and many students have been placed already. Companies such as beml, Hal, SanDisk, Boeing, Qualcomm, hp, and so on come to campus. The packages varies from 6L to 24L pa.

College Events

4

We have events like 8th mile which is the biggest techno-cultural event in Bangalore at college level. We have a huge turn out. We have various competitions. We have other events like embark, excelsior, which are management events. People from companies are brought in and they motivate us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure depends on how you get into the college. In cet, we pay around 50 thousand as cet fees. If the mode of entry is comedk, the fee is 1.7L. If the mode of entry is management, the yearly fee is around 1.7L, same as comedk but an admission fee is paid in the beginning of the year. This plus a college fee of around 25 thousand is to be paid to the college irrespective of the mode of entry.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have a lot of scholarship facilities based on means and merit. Means is based on the income of parents the reservation categories. Merit is based on your academic excellence. Companies like ABB, ge provide scholarship. Loans from college may be requested and may be granted in special occasions.

Campus Life

4.5

There is no discrimination between the peers on any grounds. We all come together work as a team, learn as a team, and excel as a team. The student life in college is of the best experiences according to me. The gender ratio is good for an engineering college. And it depends purely on ranking. We have people from all of the country studying alongside us. We have many extracurricular activities like sports, music, dancing and so on. We have around 10 technical teams each one focused on a specific project. We have around 5 to 6 cultural teams which include music, dance, debating society, fashion, acting and so on.

Hostel Facilities

4

We have dedicated hostel for each year. In the campus we have 5 hostels as of now. The hostels are not co-ed. Free wifi is given to each student on submitting a request. We have gaming rooms, TV room and other entertainment areas. We have a mess dedicated to each hostel. The food is 3 times a day plus snacks.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a very good alumnus network. Some of them come to our events as well. Some of them come in as speakers, sharing their experience in college and in the industry. We contact then if we need some help. And they help in whatever way they can.

Exam Structure

We have internals once a month. By the end of the semester we have 3 internals. Every lab class is sort of an exam as we are accessed on everything, since it is continuous internal evaluation. We have other activities like self study where in we research on a specific topic and present it and make working models. We have a Final lab internals and externals in the end. The we have SEE which is the semester end exam. The learning process is more or less the same through out the semester.

Admission

Process of option entry is done via KEA (CET). You select a college and branch and based on your ranking you get prioritized. If you are satisfied with the college you have been allotted and the branch you have been allotted, you pay the cet fees and go to the college. Go the administration block present all the necessary documents. You will be sent to information center where extra details regarding your parents are taken, your residence. All the information that you have given will be checked for one last time. After everything is done. You'll be given an acknowledgement and sent.

Faculty

3.5

In my department, there are about 5 to 6 PhD holders, we have a few MBA graduates, central government of India certified consulting advisors, IEEE transaction paper holders and so on. On the whole we have a very good faculty base and faculty ratio. They are dedicated to their work. They try to implement new methods of teaching such as implementing smart teaching via wikispace.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
