Course Curriculum Overview
I can handle physics and you are allowed to appear in the placement of all kinds of firms such as tech companies, and non-tech companies, and core is also an option. The faculty is fine, not too involved, and rather strict in terms of exams and marking, labs are cool. The student ratio is very few girls compared to guys. The qualifications of the faculty are good. Exams are held every two months and they are manageable if you study properly.
Internships Opportunities
The majority of companies come in July to offer internships and complete them by August. Stipend can be up to 11k depending on the company. Companies such as Samsung, Microsoft, and Amazon offer internships. There is a test for an internship 1. Online code round 2. Technical interview 3. HR round
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester companies start taking interviews. Companies such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Sprinklr, and many more, have around 300 companies. Offers are around 2100. The highest package was 1.2 CR and the average is 15 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students are placed but the remaining drop out, go into start-ups or prepare for GATE. I plan on getting a placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are approx. 10.5 Lakhs for four years and information on the scholarship can be obtained from the admin office as I am not aware of that. But some of my friends have scholarships, and it depends on the family income.
Campus Life
There are many annual fests such as Engifest, Yuvaan, and Aahvaan. Tech fests are very interesting and cool. Engifest in February, yuvaan in February before Engifest, and Aahvaan (sports fest) in March. Sports complex and a cool campus. Many sports and too many (in a good way) societies for music, dance, poetry, and tech societies (robotics and stuff). Freesources is a website run by students (seniors) and volunteers which provides notes and assignments, it is a very important thing to have as it helps everyone on their exams and academics.
Admission
Eligibility is decided on JEE rank (at least above 1 Lakh) and the JAC round structure helps a lot. Register on JAC counseling after JEE, to lock the seat 95k was asked from us which was included in the admission fees. Reservation can help up to 1.5 or 2 Lakhs.
