Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my interest in the respective field of Information Technology. The curriculum of my institute is affiliated with GGSIPU only. It starts with the first year as common subjects for all branches: Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc. From the second year onwards the subjects vary according to the respective branches. The faculty of BPIT is very cooperative and highly qualified, and students can rely on them for their studies. The faculty-student ratio is also very good at BPIT. The exams were conducted in a very timely manner and the question paper was set according to the syllabus only.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of a Bachelor of Technology in BPIT is 169200rs for the first year and 159200rs/year from next year onwards. It's pretty difficult to afford for a middle-class member of society, especially when they hiked the fee from 119200 to 159200. There are various scholarships provided on the basis of merit, which I'm looking forward to applying to.
Campus Life
The campus of BPIT is very good. There are 3 canteens, a very big sports ground and a central lawn too. A few days back, the Annual fest Malhaar was conducted and an amazing concert was held in the sports ground. The rising superstar 'Paradox' was invited to the show and the campus was filled with a crowd everyone enjoyed the amazingly organised fest by Team Malhaar. There are so many clubs in the college. Personally, I am a part of the Chess and the Social Welfare club. But there are many options, like coding clubs, gaming clubs, etc.
Admission
It all starts with the Joint Entrance Examination, students have to score a decent rank to get into this college. My rank was 112k. The application process is very simple because BPIT is affiliated with GGSIPU, a prestigious university. Students have to apply from the GGSIPU website portal only. It contains all the colleges under the university affiliation and students have the personal choice to select colleges on their own. The admission process occurs in rounds. Each round will allot a seat to a specific rank based on the seats and prestige of the colleges. Better colleges require better ranks. I wanted to avail Gen-EWS benefits but they weren't available in my college because it's a private institution. The only improvement I'd like to see in the admission process is they should release cutoffs first and then allow students to apply, instead of allowing them first.
