Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is given by the GGSIPU as our college comes under it. The syllabus is as same as in most of the universities in our country. I personally think it's not that much relevant and need some changes in it. I appreciate the syllabus for the labs and the workshop as it makes us ready for the real world problems and to learn new things. But the academic syllabus sucks. It's vast and we have very less time to complete it. So it's just feels like burden to us and for the exam preparation we just read the pdf provided to us by some content creators which helps us to pass by good grades. There are three exams in a year , two midterms and one end term. The externals are also done for the all subjects. The first midterm after one and half month from college starting, second after one month from first and the end terms nearly one month from the second mid term. There are lots of exam, practicals, assignments, presentation and so many things.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees for the bachelor's in engineering course is one lakh seventy seven thousand nine hundred for all the branches . it is quite big amount for the students coming from poor background. As of I know there is fees hike every 2 year for the students of first year which is white concerning. The complete fees wi come around ten to twelve lakhs for the students during a period of four year residing the personal expenses of the student. There are majorly two scholarship one is EWS scholarship by university of amount fifty thousand and one merit cum means which is not working as it comes under Delhi state government and it provides one lakh if given. Campus placement as I hear from the seniors is good but doesn't match the levels with good government colleges it provides you a good return of investment and there is no internship opportunities but most of the student done it and get it from their connection among senior. The placement opportunities provided by college is good.

Campus Life

3.5

There is one yearly fest held at our college in the month of november every year named 'Malhaar', it is a 3 to 4 days program a lot if concerrs, dj night and multiple things are done here. It's not upto the mark of good government universities but it is decent here. Now the library I think is quite good a lot of books from multiple domain are available and it is open from morning to evening. A problem arises here is that the couples generally sit in the library as it is fully furnished plus it has AC and the couples disturb the other students. The classrooms have projectors which makes the classes the smart classes. Most of them works but some didn't works. There are two grounds a large ground and one central lawn which is used for multiple sports and to perform multiple events. A lot of socities based on different interests of students are form by the students bwhich majorly works in starting of session and then degrade their work linearly.

Admission

One can take admission in this college oon the basis if his marks in the Jee mains. The eligibility is that the ward should have done intermediate from any recognised board in India. The application forms for several courses are provided by ipu admission website one can find it from there and can fill up . There is a good reservation for the students from delhi home state wuota, Wuota based on the Caste are also provided along with kishmiri migrant and defence quota. The last seat for outside student in cse was filled near 75000 and for the insiders it goes upto 15000 that is quite double. So this thing is quite hectic and decreases the competition inside campus of students. They should increase the outsider students quota as student with better marks and from multiple culture be in the campus which makes the environment better and competitive and more good for learning things. Also smart students can make the college reputations better.

Faculty

3.5

The knowledge of the faculty is quite impressive. Many of them are phd from the reknown Institutes of the country. They are good and help students at every aspect. But some of the teachers passes the time in the class does not teach well , give assignments so as to not take classes . Some teachers talk things out of the content of education which is of no purpose. They didn't complete the syllabus but can easily give the marks in internal. But for better marks you have to get yourself prepare from the notes, YouTube videos, etc. Some teachers are also good at teaching, they teach us very well but due to less time their syllabus too remain incomplete and needs to be completed in few days of time, that makes them teachers teach very fast due to which the weaker students find it difficult to understand things. Some teachers are also partial towards some students gives more marks to the student they know., they like and not that much to the deserving student.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.
