Likes

The campus is very beautiful and almost every game can played in there respective grounds
Campus Life is awesome, you'll have a plenty of time to explore the campus Life
Placement for the CSE and IT is the highest however other branches also have a great placement opportunities.

Dislikes

The hostel Life is great but the mess quality can be made better.
There is only one hostel with single bed facility that can be availed at the final year of the course
Campus is at a very beautiful place but the infrastructure isn't that good

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I think this course will be at the boom in future, faculty and student ration is 1:8, every teacher is iitian with maximum qualification of P.H.D, teachers just use smart board for teaching purpose, here we get 3 hours to write our exams, the difficulty is from medium to hard

Internships Opportunities

TISCO is one of the companies that offered internships with a good stipend. Also, many IIT college offers internship like IIT BOMBAY. As the students during internship did many projects with good outcomes like simulations for CFD problems

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for campus placements at the end of 3rd year. Companies like Oil India, Byjus, Amazon, Vedanta etc. The highest package is 32 Lacs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed depends upon the course, CSE and IT have the highest percentage of placement at 98%. I'm currently thinking about going for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees depend upon the family income of the student ( below one lac, between one lac and 5 lac and above one lac). As the college is a National College so the fee structure is not hiked like private colleges. There is a number of scholarships that a student can avail like NSP, Sharman Foundation Scholarship etc.

Campus Life

Annual fest and Tech fest are generally held in the month of June like Ted X and Soapbox. Almost all the books that are being taught in the course are available in the college library. The classrooms are very well maintained. Sports and extracurricular activities are also given great preference here, every year a cricket team, badminton team and all other games are selected for Inter NIT Championship. Lot of social groups and clubs are here in which a student can take part like Evision, Robotechs etc

Hostel Facilities

There are 4 hostels for boys for 4 years of Btech course and rooms are very well maintained and the mess is also decent with a number of varieties. During the admission process, you'll have an option for opting for the hostel and then during the start of classes you can easily get your room.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

The admission process to the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is a cumbersome process not too easy. the course admission takes too much time. It takes a day to complete all formalities we all want this course admission to be online and a bit easy

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
