Course Curriculum Overview
I selected the CSE course for my degree because it provides more freedom in choosing electives in comparison to other courses. The faculty at IIITD is top-notch and highly educated. Exams are really easy to pass if you are regularly putting in efforts throughout the semester.
Internships Opportunities
The internship process starts after the end of 2nd year when companies start to come and students apply to them. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and mathworks come for internships and projects vary across different companies.
Placement Experience
The placement process begins after the end of the third semester. A lot of companies visit our college: Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, etc. Almost all the students gets placed in the placement process.
Fees and Financial Aid
10% fee hike every year. Last paid fee: 187500 Rs/semester. The fee is very high in comparison to the resources provided in return. The fee hike should be regulated by the government. College does provide scholarships to financially weak students.
Campus Life
Two fests in a year: Tech Fest: ESYA (monsoon semester), ODYSSEY: Cultural fest(winter semester). The two fest days are the most amazing days of the otherwise dull life of the college curriculum. Sports infrasture is great.
Admission
Entrance Exam: JEE Mains. Admission through the JAC counseling process. Minimum 75% in CBSE class 12. I availed Delhi quota and CBSE bonus points for IIITD admission. IIITD has a totally different ranking system, in which they combine JEE mains rank along with bonus points based on the criteria mentioned on their website.
