Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Hello there. Our college provides BA and Bcom (hons&general) and also we are going to have geo. Hons too. I choose bcom honours cause out college give a good faculty of teachers for it. Many of our teachers such as CA, CMA etc. There's minimum two teachers for each subject and also you can get a extra class for doubt clearance. They also take exams such as mid term and chapter wise. If you study well and read, practice the notes seriously, you can easily crack the exams. It totally depends on you.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Our coege provides an affordable fees structure for degrees such as honours and general. Fees for honours subject is a bit high as per general fees. There's an extra fees for each practical subjects such as INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES. Our college charges fees based on each semester. For bcom honours it's ?2840+students tax for each semester. (Excluding fees for practical subject)

Campus Life

2.5

Our college have annual fest just like other collegea have and it's name is fun fiesta. It's a big annual for students which conducts in every years end period. There's a monthly tech fest and our college also participates in science fair. Our college doesn't provide extra curricular activities but have a common room which have carrom board, table tennis etc. Also there's a football tournament and annual sports. As a college of West Bengal, our college have its own union group, but to be very honest, they don't work at all.

Admission

For admission, you have to pass out the HS from any board with a minimum percentage of 60. For bcom, you need to have a minimum number of 50/100 in accounts and so do for BA. college doesn't provide bsc. For admission process, you have to go to college website named "WWW.AGCBC.COM" and from there you can fill up application form and submit it for next step. There's no application charges. Dates vary on for which course you're going in. There's a reservations benefits which changes due to situation.

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.

Students majorly go for higher education, and around 30% of the students opted for internships. The average salary package offered was 2.5-3 LPA.
