Remarks

It is the second best business College in Kolkata. This college helps in providing various job opportunities. Moreover, the faculty teachers are very good. The college was ranked 2nd by the Nielsons for India Today in 2019 in Kolkata.

Students get ample opportunities to interface with faculty members and engage with them intellectually, both within and outside the classroom.

The placements are good. Top recruiting companies of our college are Wipro, ITC, PWC, Capital First, Future General and Times of India. Students majorly go for higher education, and around 30% of the students opted for internships. The average salary package offered was 2.5-3 LPA. Job roles were for students from all 3 specialisations like finance, marketing and HR.

Jd Birla holds two fests in a year. One is Verve and the other is Invictus. Invictus is a management convention which is held by the BBA department. In these events, many activities are held which help the students in participating and enriching their talents.

Campus placements are available for the good students who score above 8cgpa which is very difficult in cu but the starting salary starts from 300000 which I don't think is good but atleast better then the college's that doesn't provide placement

Review for GCCBA in the best way possible

Placement Experience:

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.

I am from Asansol, a city in west bengal which is 200 km away from kolkata. So, my parents wanted that I should stay near to my hometown. So that in times of emergency its easy for me to reach my home. Firstly, I applied for BMS (Hons) at St. Xavier's College, kolkata but because of low marks in maths i could make there. Secondly, I also applied for KiiT, Bhubaneswar and luckily i got admission their but they were offering me BBA in Hospitality & Tourism and in this course i was just not interested and therefore i didn't go there. Lastly, I got admission in JDBI. The Admission procedure here is really very smooth and swift. Initially I got a mail stating my admission and all the details and after paying the admission amount later I got a call from the college for document verify and hence the admission was completed. In kolkata JDBI has the best faculty and environment for interior designing and no other college offers a better course of interior designing than JDBI. ...Read More

My experience at BBA at J.D.BIRlA

The college infrastructure is good . The then director of the college Mr.Mukherjee is a very inspiring personality and when he used to give a special lecture , everyone would listen to him with concentration . The other faculty is not good . They do not teach in an interactive manner . The lectures were very boring . There were no industry visits .
