There is a lot to learn in the college and the peer group is superb.
I liked the fests of my college as it was the time all the friends use to enjoy
The infrastructure of the college is very good

Dislikes

Sometimes the competition here makes you feel as if you are nothing.
The mess food was decent and could have been better.
There is less time to invest in other things .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I opted for was based on the previous year results. I was also interested in studying electrical engineering. There is 1 faculty for every 80-90 Students and we also have a teaching assistants to help us in the process.

Internships Opportunities

There are currently internships available in the research under various professors but since it is basically beyond my present knowledge, I am not in a position to elaborate on the issue more than saying that the internships available are mainly research-oriented.

Placement Experience

The placement generally occurs in the seventh and eighth semesters. Generally, all the high-paying companies like Microsoft, Google, Optiver, and Goldman Sachs come to campus. The high-paying companies offer as much as 4 crore which was the highest package of 2022.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my first semester were a 1lakh tuition fee and 60,000- for hostel fees. There is ample scholarship for students here who come from underprivileged sections of society and they are regularly communicated to them through the mail. Since I don't avail of any of the benefits stated above I am not in a position to comment about them.

Campus Life

The clubs in iit are very active and we always have events here and there around the campus. Recently we organized Tryst, The technology fest of IIT Delhi and now Rendezvous The cultural fest is coming up.

Admission

Admission was through JEE Advanced exam whose forms are available on the website of nta . To qualify for the advanced exam, we have to clear the jee mains exam. In 2022 the top 1.5lakh Students were allowed to sit for the exam.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Firstly, IIT Delhi is a platform fromWhere you can achieve anything be it High salary, entrepreneurship, research and higher education, civil services, and what not to mention. We have Indias best labs in educational institutions and we are not limited to the discipline we choose, a physics student can do research in biology or a mechanical student can sit in coding interviews. Apart from that, we have very active clubs who are constantly putting efforts to develop the interest of students in their respective fields.
