Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a bit heavy and it is mainly included physics-based subjects. The professors teach quite well. I chose this course as I was interested in physics, more accurately, mechanics. All the faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Some of the courses are difficult to pass but somehow you can manage to pass all of them by putting in some extra effort.

Class Size: 87Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many big companies that provide internships here. It is suggested to maintain a good cgpa, extra curricular activities, coding and dsa skills and projects for good internship opportunities. Maintaining all this becomes difficult, however, it is prescribed to have an upper hand on at least two of them.

Placement Experience

We are eligible for placements after 3rd year but we can apply for internships after 2nd year. The placements are good to average depending on the companies and students. Many big companies visit and hire people from our college. I will also go for placement after getting the degree as placement stat is quite good for our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are high and it has increased over years. But compared to the quality education we get here, it is worth it. I am currently in my second year. I will be able to apply for internships after the second year.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is quite busy and exciting. We have activities going on every day. There are many clubs run by students like dance club, drama club, literary club, and music club. Sports clubs are also really active with regular practices and tournaments. We get all sorts of opportunities here. We have our annual cultural fest rendezvous and tech fest tryst and they are generally conducted in march.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are good and there is greenery all over our hostel. The mess food and menu are quite good. Compared to the facilities the hostel is much more affordable. Our hostel is quite open with gardens and flowers.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I took admitted here by giving JEE Advanced entrance exam and I got 4103 ranks all over India. Through that rank, I got into mechanical engineering at IITD. JEE advanced exam happens every year and to give that exam you have to first clear the jee mains exam. Application forms and details are available on the NTA website run by the government.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each sem we have to give exams twice - mid terms and end terms. They are not much difficult the level is moderate. Teaching method is also good bit sometimes they are not able to complete the syllabus

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Bachelors is required with 55% atleast. JAM score is required. Cut off for obc was 33 as far as I remember . The entrance test tests your quantitative and qualitative ability. All the details are given on the website of iit delhi or just typing JAM would do. JAM gives you the opportunity to do your msc economics from iits. Admission to IITD occurs through JEE Advanced; In which an individual had to first clear JEE Mains then ADV. They have to prepare for three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; concepts must be clear from the base level. As soon as the application form will be released; news will come in newspapers since it's a national-level exam or you can search on the Official Jee mains website. Application fees for Jee Mains in 2022: 650/- and for Jee ADV: 2800/-(not sure). Application dates will be released on the official website.
