Course Curriculum Overview

Mathematics and Computing branch is a course which has aspects of computer science as well as finance and data analysis. Professors are always readily available for doubt discussion and apart from that there are 4-5 teaching assistants under each professor to help students out. The professors are extremely qualified in their subjects and teach really well. There are two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam apart from small quizzes/assignments. Exams are easy to pass apart from a few.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees add up to around 12 lakhs. There are a lot of different scholarships available for students based on their academic performance and family income. It is easy to get a scholarship if you read emails regularly and apply for them.

Campus Life

Rendezvous is the annual fest of IITD and Tryst is the tech fest. There is a very active social life on campus. The campus has a very huge library with all kinds of books and journals available. There are more than 12 Sports and even more clubs on campus. All the clubs are actively run by students. There are clubs like Enactus IITD, SINC IITD, Music club, Drama club, Robotics club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are really spacious and affordable. The hostel has lifts and its own club rooms, gym, sports rooms and badminton court, basketball courts, etc. The meal menu is decided by a student committee and the food is of great quality and made hygienically. The registration for hostels occurs at the time of admission and everyone is alloted a hostel.

Admission

The admission process happens on the basis of JEE-Advanced exam rank. After the announcement of the JEE-Advanced result. There are two mock rounds and 6 rounds of counselling through JOSAA. Once you get your preference confirmed through JOSAA, you have to register yourself on the Indian Institute of Delhi's official website. The cutoff for admission to IITD is really high. There's a chance of getting admission only if your JEE-Advanced rank is within 12,000. For Mathematics and Computing branch it is about 300-400 rank

For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. Placement Experience:

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

FOT is the next IIT DELHI

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed the course because of my interest in electrical and the faculty of electrical is very supportive about innovations and experiments, the curriculum here is based on the new education policy, they also teach financial literacy and english fluency which prepares you for the real world , they could improve the syllabus little bit ,it is slightly outdated . IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
