Course Curriculum Overview

I have had a keen interest in fashion technology since childhood. I love to design and hence I opted for this course. Mid sems and End sems are taken for theoretical subjects, and a jury judges the practical subjects.

Class Size: 29Course Fees: INR 219000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have to make projects every semester according to the subject and perform their practicals as well. We can take internships in designing fields and have internships in graphic designing fields, UX/UI field

I belong to the first batch of B.des so, there is no placement session happen for it till now. But the placement is taken care by the training and placement cell of Netaji Subhas University of Technology

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various government schemes for scholarships including CVSPK. There are many other schemes too, you can apply for education loans too through banks. We have a training and placement cell that looks after the companies.

Campus Life

The best part about NSUT is definitely the extracurricular activities. The campus is always brimming with some other event. With over 10,000 students and 40-plus societies, there is a lot to explore.

Admission

You can go for admission in this course either through 12th percentage or UCEED. You can register for the exam through nta portal. There is a minimal registration fee. You can check the cut-off list on the UCEED portal

NSUT review as a first year student

Placement Experience:

students get elligible for campus placement in the fourth year. Although have heard some students say to focus more on skills as working in a studio will be better than placement and have also not heard such good news about the amount of students getting placement. my plans too is to focus on skills more than the grades as that would be more helpful and is whats needed more for the career i am going for, instead of the marks i got on writing theory in my answer sheets

Placement Experience:

Speaking about placements I have very little knowledge about it as I am in first year, but after engaging with some really helpful seniors there has been a good hype in the campus placements and I've also heard very reputable companies have accepted students from this college. Also to mention the most important part of this college is it has a 99% placement program which really stood out to me, while talkin to the administrative staff my interest piqued when I heard there was a student who got 12lakh per annum placement opportunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to opt for something related to marketing side or more like something that requires digital work. The faculty:student ratio is 1:40 in my batch. My faculty is very knowledgeable. I have a good experience in teaching (not all but mostly) with them. The term exams are timely scheduled and it is not easy to pass a exam but it is not also very difficult. If you work consistently throughput the semester you would score a good grade in the end.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligiblr for campus placements from 4th year. But you can get PPOs if are good. You can get exciting internships from 2nd year. Very big companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart etc come for placements. A total of 1300 jobs were offered in 2023. 260 PPOs and 30 international offers very also there.

All about NSUT

I got into this college through the JEE mains exam I selected this college specifically to take admission in the computer science branch as it has great placements over all. Comparing this college to DTU or some mid level iits I would say that as far as placements are considered they all line on the same level and did you as a little bit chiller college life compared to nsuity but yes overall the placements are more or less the same level of these colleges...Read More
