Actual reality of NSUT

Computer science and engineering have great scope currently so I opted for them. In my class there are 70 students, currently, in 1st sem there are 5 core subjects. Faculties are pretty good at handling students, and have good knowledge as well, of course, there are a few exceptions as well. Class tests are held once in 2 weeks, not that hard to be honest.

Companies like Microsoft give 1.25 to 2 Lakhs per month as a stipend. Many seniors from my branch got selected in MNC for internships at great stipends. Projects done in societies help very much in CV, as Devvcom a coding society made the NSUTX app which helped them a lot in their internships and placements.

In 5th semester internships get started, many students get great on-campus internships and many get off-campus internships as well. In 4th year hundreds of well-reputed companies start giving fantastic placement opportunities with lucrative packages. The highest package of 2022 was the international package of 1.6 crores in META in California. The domestic highest package was 65 LPA in Apple. Average placement is around 17 LPA and the average for CSE/IT branches is 20+LPA. The majority of students get on-campus placements.

Fees rose drastically in the last 2-3 years, currently am giving 219000rs for 1 year, obviously way less than private universities. You can apply for merit cum mean scholarship from the e district website. That is the best scholarship you can get.

The annual cultural fest of NSUT is Moksha. It is held for 3 days, and these 3 days are full of enjoyment, can't deny the fact that Moksha is a whole different atmosphere to experience. It ignites the energy in you, and you just have lots of fun and make lots of memories. Books can be issued from Central Library. There is also a pretty damn good sports complex with all facilities. There are many clubs and societies in NSUT, with various themes and areas to work on.

Eligibility criteria are 60% in PCM in class 12th for general and for SC/ST 55% in PCM in class 12th. You need to appear for JEE MAIN and score really really well to get into this college. Especially if you are general and want to pursue CSE, you need to score at least 99%ile. Also, there is 85% reservation for Delhi students i.e. students who did their 12th from Delhi school get 85% reservation. Rest 15% is for outside states. The admission process is the same as IIT and NIT and IIIT, overall a good experience for me.
