The Faculty: Student ratio is 1:5. Profs have industry experience and PhDs from top universities. There are 2 exams per term. A 40-45 minimum score for passing. Exams are moderate and application-oriented.

There are about 200+ companies that visited for summer internships. All the details are available of the summer placements report shared on the college website. Consulting is the highly opted domain with 250+ offers. Stipend ranges from 1 L to 4L for 2 month period. Median stipend in 3.2 L.

Placements are one of the best in the country. Placement reports are released on the college website and certain levels of details are released in the press as well. About 200+ companies visit IIMB with 600+ offers. The highest CTC is ~INR 80 LPA, Median is ~INR 28 LPA. 100% of the students get placed in 2 days of the placement season. The majority of students tend to gain experience and shift to other domains based on interests and skillset.

We are supposed to pay INR 4,25,00 as a tuition fee and INR 30,000 for the hostel mess. College provides financial aid to students going through financial distress. The Scholarship could range from a minimum of 25% to 100% based on the conditions of the student. There are other scholarships based on merit/ disability, etc. which are offered by corporates.

There are 2 business fests and 1 cultural fest conducted every year. We have access to a good library and online materials, no issue on that front. All Classrooms have AC, speakers, a projector, a whiteboard, and a desktop to present material. There are sufficient clubs, committees, and societies to accommodate students with interests. The total count of these 3 is 32. There is a student council body that conveys the voice of the students to the admin office. There are several events organized by these 3 communities. There are 4 sports events organized annually, 2 of which are inter-IIM level competitions.

Hostels vary based on the block one is allotted. There are blocks from A-Q. Old blocks have comparatively smaller rooms and the latest ones have larger spaces with balconies. Every room has a table, chair, mirror, cupboard, bed, and mattress. There is a washroom for every 8 rooms. Food quality is good with unlimited quantity. Hostels are allocated at the start of the year. One can avail of off-campus rooms as well, but no one would prefer this option.

Firstly all the aspirants need to complete the CAT application process. Every year one of the old IIMs conducts the exams and they release detailed guidelines for the application process. The exam is conducted on the last Sunday of November. The minimum cut-offs vary on the basis of student category and college. Apart from CAT past academics like 10th, 12th, and graduation scores are also given certain weightage based on the IIM applied. The detailed weightage will be shared on the college website. Post-shortlist, all the students will need to appear for WAT - written ability test and a personal interview. The final weights for the convert are different from the shortlist and will be shared on the college website. For the 2022-24 batch, IIM Bangalore gave a weightage of only 25% to the CAT score, 10% for work-ex, 10% for WAT, 30% for PI, and 25% for past academics (10th + 12th).

We had a Written test followed by a personal interview on separate days. A random topic will be given and there will be a time limit of 30 minutes to complete the written test. In the Interview, there will be a panel of 2-3 members. The panel consists of faculty as well as alumni members. The panel tries to analyze your fit for the college.
