Course Curriculum Overview
This course is perfect for somehow who wants to know about how the apparel industry works, in this course, we particularly focus on apparel production. The class strength is 35 students. All professors are highly qualified and experienced. They all are nice and understanding. Some teachers are strict but I think they need it because the subjects they taught they are very important to us, and if we don't study those subjects it leads to problems when we go into the industry, so to make ensure that every student must study the important subject they act little strict. There is no exam curriculum in NIFT students are marked on continuous evaluation, we have to do 3 assignments 2 assignments are marked out of 30 and the last assignment is 40 marks which is actually a jury you have to present your work to jury members. 3 members in the jury panel.
Internships Opportunities
Companies that come in NIFT for placements are Sahi exports, Arvind mills, Siyaram's, Raymond, etc. We have 3 major internships during our course, in the 4th semester, 6th semester, and 8th semester respectively. In the 8th semester, you have to make a graduation project, which will help you in placements, and also consider as the main component of placement.
Placement Experience
11 Lpa is the highest package offered with a minimum of around 5-6 Lpa. About 97% of students receive placement every year. Reputed companies like Reliance, Raymond, and many more offer various posts to students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for our Institute is quite high, it is 3 lacs per year, for all course. But there is also a scholarship scheme which is known as SARTHAK. Students get scholarships according to the annual income of their parents. You will get a 100% scholarship if your income is lower than 1.5 lacs. Income between 1.5 to 2.5 lacs get a 75 % scholarship And income between 2.5 to 4.0 lacs get a 50% scholarship.
Campus Life
Our college has one annual fest which is known as SPECTRUM which is held at February end. Our library has all the books and journals which you will be needed during your course. The library and campus are fully wifi enabled. Our college doesn't have a playground but has a basketball court, badminton court, amphitheater, and table tennis table. Campus life is good at NIFT.
Admission
There is an entrance exam conducted by NIFT, for our course ( B.Ftech ), but there is a condition for appearing in NIFT ( B.Ftech ) entrance exam, that students must have PCM in their 12th boards. Entrance is not very easy to qualify but not very hard, you can make it if you are good at maths ( arithmetic ), and English and have some general knowledge and current affairs related to the fashion retail industry. There are reservation quotas for every class of people, you will get allocated your seat according to your category-based rank. All details you can find on the official website of NIFT.
