Course Curriculum Overview

i always had interest in core fields...so i did choose the mechanical stream. the faculty members are very very qualified and also co-operative. faculty: student ration is appreciable. xam r taken as per the time table given by MAKAUT and other than these...viva and class test has been a part of daily routine.

Class Size: 8Course Fees: INR 480000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

from the beginning of 6th semester students become enough eligible to sit for placements. most of students get placed with the highest package of 20-30 lakhs per annum and average being 12 to 15 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

for our year the fees structure was 650000 for the 1st and 2nd sem and 56500 from 3rd to 8th sem...making a total of 4.8 lakhs per annum. scholarships like student credit card are available . but i personally dont hv applied scholarship.

Campus Life

Megatronis is the tech fest of meghnad saha institute of technology and it organises PARIDHI,i.e, the largest tech fest in east india.people from all over the country can participate. tech-xtra is also a fest organised by this club for 1st yr students.

Admission

the addmission was done on the basis of wbjee councilling and also on the basis of jee mains rank. yeah there are reservation benifits also for twf. mop up councilling is also considered. no such improvement required in admission process

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
