Remarks
Well, the admission process at my time was completely online because of the covid 19 and was conducted by JAC Delhi. The student is required to appear for the JEE entrance examination and the JEE Mains ranks were considered as the selection criteria. The cut off for my course was around 3000 rank in jee mains examination in the general category. The cut-off ranks vary for different reservations. The reservations include SC, ST, OBS, EWS, Kashmiri Migrants, and the army.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, the computer science course included the technical courses only and the reason for selecting the computer science course was my interest in the technical aspects of our day-to-day life. Well, there is almost 1 faculty per 23 students in the computer science department. Some of the faculties are very educated and respected having done a lot of research in their field. But some of the professors are guest faculties mainly for the elective subjects. The exams include mid-semester and end-semester examinations including the practical exam and 2 class tests in between them. The exams are of good level not easy nor too difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The companies also give internship opportunities with sprinklers giving the highest stipend of 2 lakhs. Many companies give internship opportunities like Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Uber, Amazon, etc. Mainly the internships are for technical roles like software development engineer, frontend developer, backend developer, full stack developer, data analyst, etc
Placement Experience
Many big companies arrive in the college for both placements(for 4th-year students only) and internships (for 3rd-year students only). These companies include Google, Microsoft, Uber, Sprinklr, etc. The number of offers made varies from company to company but the average number of offers is 10 to 12 per company. The highest package is 87 lakhs for the SDE role and the lowest is 6 lakhs for the nontechnical role. Almost 91% of the students get placed in the computer science department and almost 73% of students are placed overall. My plans after getting the degree are to work in a tech giant
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is divided into tuition fees, faculty fees, etc. The fees are increased by 5% every year. The college provides many financial assistance schemes based on the annual income of the family, and performance in academics. The placements are quite good in the college with around 18 lakhs average package.
Campus Life
College life is quite good here. The institute conducts fest like the annual fest Moksha in march and tech fest Innovation in October. The library is full of study material for each subject as well as latest journals are also available in the library. The classrooms are Air conditioned with high-tech facilities. The intra and inter-college sports activities are conducted every semester. There are lots of clubs and social groups in the college some of them are technical and some of them are not technical. These clubs are IEEE, shakesjeer etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are 5 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. The hostel is average and provided with a table chair and bed in the room. The rooms can be single or double for boys and double or triple for girls. Each hostel contains a mess. The quality of food in the mess is below average. The registration process for the hostel is quite simple. The hostel rates each semester is around 40000 to 50000. For renting a PG many PGs are available outside the college in a good locality
