Remarks
The college management is doing a great job and is improving and updating the college as much as possible to meet its students needs. After all it's very student friendly. The best thing about our college undeniably lies in its quality education, faculty and the level of strictness. It obviously has crazy rules but end of the they're all for our safety and discipline. One thing I believe our college should make a move is in constructing a hostel of its own for its students who wish to join in,since it would be better for the students whose parents always want to ensure their safety.
Entrance Preview
I've got admitted into this college through TS EAMCET. I've gotten a rank of 4200 and I applied for this college and other colleges of my choice as well but after counselling I've been informed that I got selected for this college for computer science and engineering course. I had a senior friend of mine in this college who was then it the third year pursuing bachelors in ECE and she recommended me to the join the college as it was great. I did join the college and it truly feels great than ever assumed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in our college is very up to date.Since our college is autonomous, it has an advantage over others to design it's own curriculum. So, our college modifies the curriculum to meet the basic needs of industry today. The professors who'd be designing and modifying the curriculum have a broader perspective and so they'd design in such a way that it suits a particular class, I mean they don't go way too complicated and specifically talking about CSE it's very up to date. There's also Advanced Academic Center in our college where in we can research in the area of basic sciences. I did research on computer programming and I've done a compute programming project on Hospital management as a part of a team and we've received certificates from AAC right in the first year of B.tech.Overall, the course curriculum is great.
Internships Opportunities
I'm currently in the first year so,I do not know much about the internships provided by the college but our seniors do say that HCL and a lot of other companies attend our college to hire students for the internship program. The college 100% supports students who're willing to work on an internship .I've personally applied for a lot of internships on Internshala , got selected for a few of them like Business Development (BD) internship, Sales and Marketing internship, Social Media Marketing (SMM) internship, and I'm a HR Manager intern for a company. I can doubtlessly say that I couldn't have done these many life changing internships with out the support of my college's T&P department who are responsible to issue an NOC(No Objection Certificate) and in fact they give credit for every internship that you do.
Placement Experience
As I'm in first year,I do not completely know the details of all the companies which approach the campus placement drive and the packages they offer but there's definitely a decent package and above all this is for sure that TCS hires majority of students from our college with an approximate annual salary of 3.5 Lac rupees. There are a lot of other companies too, which hire students from our college.
College Events
The biggest national level fest in our college is Pragyna. The best part of these kind of fests is that they provide you a business opportunity where in you can set up a food stall after you've won the auction and you'd be paying certain amount of money to the event organizers and on the days of fest, the canteen would be closed,so it's your business day where in you get a real life exposure to sales and you could truly make a lot out of it. Pragyna consists of both technical and non technical events, workshops, competitions and whole lot of fun stuff where you learn a lot of things and you can achieve a lot of certificates too. There are a lot of other fests too like Ruedo ,Pulse,etc... in which you can participate very affordably.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Annual tuition fee in GRIET is 95,000 Rupees for the ones who get admitted through EAMCET . Also, for reservation candidates there would be tuition fee waiver based on their parents income and some other factors which you can go through in the TS EAMCET official website. There is also full tuition fee waiver for some candidates. If you want to join the college through management quota we can't exactly predict donation fee you would be asked to pay but apart from donation, you will asked to pay the basic tuition fee of 95,000 Rupees per year as usual.
Fees and Financial Aid
A candidate who has applied for the scholarship earlier itself and who gets an EAMCET rank below 10,000,whose parents are NON government officers will avail full tuition fee waiver.Coming to loan facility, I don't exactly know if our college offers that or not, but there's tuition fee payment extension in our college.
Campus Life
I'm currently pursuing bachelors in computer science and engineering and am about to finish the 1st year course. This one year in my college has genuinely been a spiritual awakening and life has unfolded completely in a new and positive direction. It's about a whole lot of worthy lessons that you learn during your college life.I mean to say how supportive the college staff are for helping your dream come true! Coming to gender ratio in our college, boys to girls ratio is 3:2. Our college has diverse range of students from different districts of TS and AP and not just from the Telugu states but also from different regions of our country and we do have a few NRI students too,who hail from different countries and all of them are pretty much comfortable here and find the college's atmosphere very student friendly. That's all about the college! I highly recommend all of you to join the college. It's just amazing than ever said and spiritually, emotionally and mentally awakening!
Hostel Facilities
Actually there's no hostel facility provided by the college management. As the college is located in Nizampet , where a lot of other engineering colleges like BVRIT , VNR VJIET are located too, there are a lot of private hostels nearby the college .So any one who's a non-native of Hyderabad can join affordable private hostels nearby the college. To be specific there are both girls and boys hostels separately nearby the college.Coming to food, our college has a great canteen, we also have CCD(Cafe coffee day) in the campus and we do have CFC too! we have a lot of different stalls in the canteen where in you have Hyderabadi Biryani, Fried rice,Frankies, chat, juices, ice creams and all kinds of delicious food! Above all,our college has a great scheme known as "Anna prasadam" which offers absolutely free and nutritious lunch everyday for everyone who wants to have. This is all about food and hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
I personally have never had a conversation with the alumni of our college but I've had a lot of senior friends who're pretty much advanced and guide us towards the right path.I'm truly very grateful for all my senior friends who helped me to get through a lot of things like for an instance when I was unable to complete the project task, they've really helped me make right decisions and they've guided me properly as a dear friend and finally I was able to submit the project on time and received a certificate from Advanced Academic Center. Not just this case but there were a lot of cases in which they've helped not just me but a lot of my class mates considering all of us as their dear friends. So there's definitely a very sweet and dearly connection between us.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is designed very student friendly.Usually, in a semester, there would be two internals of 20 marks each and they would consider the average of the two to decide the final internal score. Also, they would be giving you a score of 5 if you've submitted all the assignments on time and if your attendance is above 75% you would be getting a score of 5. Totally it's pretty much easy to score above 25 in internals and your external / semester end examination would be for 70 marks. The question paper would be set so ideally that most of the students would qualify the exam with a decent GPA but it's not as easy to top the exam but since our college results are only given in GPA, even if you get 80 marks in total (internal + external),you'd be getting a 10/10 GPA. So overall it's actually pretty good!
Admission
Actually,I got a notification when TS EAMCET counselling was held, probably during late June and everyone who're just done with their EAMCET exams must keep an eye on the counseling dates, once the counselling dates are out you should start preparing a list of colleges you want to be applying for but before counseling there would be certificate verification, where in they basically check all of your certificates like your academic certificates, Aadhaar card and stuff like that and then they would allot you a certain code to access online counseling, then during the counseling mark all the colleges that you're willing to get admitted into but in an order of most preferred to not as much preferred colleges of your choice.once the counseling is done after a week or two, results would be declared about the admissions and you would be getting a message from the convener of TS EAMCET, as in which college you've been offered to join and the course.Once you know the college that you've been offered to join, now it's up to you to choose to join in it or not, in this case I was really surprised to have found that I've been offered a computer science and engineering course in GRIET. I've chosen to get admitted into the college and so I downloaded the admission letter from the counseling website and I did go to the college and got my admission letter, documents and certificates verified and it's just simple,I've been asked to pay the college fee to join the college and I did pay the fee and officially got admitted into the college.
Faculty
I would 100% say that the faculty of our college are so passionate in teaching and striving for the betterment of us everyday. They're very much interested in clearing our doubts and correcting our mistakes.I thought of engineering in a different way, like I didn't expect this much of academic support from professors and associate professors. It's just incredible to receive such kind of support!
