Remarks

The student has to qualify for the JEE mains exam or MHTCET exam in order to get admission to Shri ramdeobaba college of engineering and management. The admission can be done through the direct institute level or by counseling in MH CET. The reservation benefits are also there in college such as Hindi minority reservation, Reservation for SC and ST, reservation for j &k students, etc. The overall admission process of the college is good

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is as per the latest university syllabus. I have allotted Computer science and engineering (Data science ). Actually, the placement of my branch hasn't been done yet but I'm sure that it will be very good. The faculty-student ratio is overall good as there are many qualified teachers for a particular subject. The exams in RCOEM college are held on a regular basis and the level of exams is moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is an autonomous college so the fees are quite more but if you can compare them on the basis of the NIRF rank of college and placement then the fees of the college are not too much. There are scholarships for students of Maharashtra and other states too.

Campus Life

The campus of RCOEM is not too vast but the environment is very good. Social life in RCOEM is excellent as there is a good bond between seniors and juniors and the fresher also have their mentors too. The books and journals are available here you can collect them from the library or by the teacher. Sports activity is also done here. Many seniors have participated in different competitive levels.

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.
