Remarks

The Eligibility criteria were very simple. First I got a cut-off list there was 5 cut-off list. I got admission after filling in some more details and paying a little amount as an admission fee. During the admission process, The internet server of the college was always down and no one used to pick up the phone from the college, if a call was made for any inquiry, then I would like this process to be changed, but it was during the time of Covid.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was interested in doing a journalism course because I wanted to know what happens in media and how it works. The journalism faculty of our college is very good and experienced and very knowledgeable. Our Kalindi College has got an A grade from NAAC. The student ratio is accurate from other Colleges. The teaching method is good, journalism is a practical-based course so the faculty teaches us practically more than theoretically but I can say that some teachers are exceptions. Exams conduct timely and if you have attended your lectures regularly then You will not have much trouble during exam time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The free is high in comparison to other courses. At the time of Covid, when the colleges were running online, we still had to pay the same fees as offline, while we were not even using any equipment that was useful for our education. Our college is a government college, yet the fees are high. Talking about scholarships, he gets very less opportunities, most of the scholarship opportunities are only for differently abled students and there is a cell for jobs and internships called Kryptus but They are very rarely able to provide job internships and placement is also not much,30% student out of 100 gets placement.

Campus Life

2

The campus crowd is quite average, our college is a girl's college, extracurricular activities are held here, functions like parties and farewell parties are also held in the college, and there are many clubs in the college, such as media club, sports club, music club, sports club, different societies. There are also fashion insta girls who are street play or drama society. The college library is very big and good, in which all the books are available and question papers are also available, secondly, many different newspapers come here, so this facility is also very good, very quiet and the best place to read Second sports, there are many activity events here, in which the whole college takes lessons. Talking about the canteen of the college, it is also average, the price here is a bit high, but the quantity is very good and the quality is also good.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus
