Remarks

Overall, i will rate college as very good college, though it is very under-rated because of less extra-curricular etc..but i am sure after 20 years lot of things must have improved keeping the level of education same as earlier.

Entrance Preview

I wanted to aim for MBA and this college was near to my residence, so opted for it. Becasue I was doing a GNIIT as well, i did not want to put too much of time into commuting. Nearest college was the best option to avoid waste of time in travelling to different parts of Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

SLC curriculum is same as DU curriculum as it is a DU college. Faculty is all highly qualified and knowledgeable. Lectures were serious and faculty poured in all their knowledge into the students. Toppers in science subjects used to come from SLC. Moreover, teachers knew all students by their names and would care for them, if they were studying well or not..

Internships Opportunities

I dont think so.. atleast not at that time.. It is a full time graduation course from delhi university and like most other colleges, I dont think this college offers any internship or placement services.. but yes, I am still in contact with many friends and they are all well settled i their respective lives.

Placement Experience

2.5

I dont think so.. atleast not at that time.. It is a full time graduation course from delhi university and like most other colleges, I dont think this college offers any internship or placement services.. but yes, I am still in contact with many friends and they are all well settled i their respective lives.

College Events

1.5

This part was weak. mostly there were no events in the college, except few debates and general competitions, that too for the sake of certificates. Even the annual fest used to be a big flop as most students would not attend their own college fest, but students from other colleges would come to attend the fest. it was full of goonism.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fees was quite feasibe.. again the structure was all followed by DU structure. there is nothing to irte about it here.. but at that time, my fees was a little less than 1000/- per year, which was very affordable for most households. And this was for general category.. i am sure SC/ST/OBC fees must be much much lower, like in all other cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, many good performers used to get scholarships. infact few of them got an opportunity to go abroad for further study from the college. But scholarships were limited to either for a certain background students or highly studious student. As said earlier, good performers used to come from SLC in Delhi university.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was not very exciting, because of lack of extra curriculur activites. The college was good for science studies (that is what i studied) but in the name of sports, we had a football team, which rarely practiced. We had fully euipped labs and library. We had occasional debates and competitions but as mentioned, they were mostly not serious but for the sake of certificates only.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There was no hostel or mess at that time.. we did have a canteen, which earlier used to run in open. later a place was dedicated to canteen, but it took more than an year to be fully built so until I was there, the canteen was under construction options available were very few.. mostly dift drinks and samosas, bread pakoras and bugers only.

Alumni/Alumna

nothing has been initiated by college yet, or they do not have contact numbers of most students.. but on our own, we are a group of many students, who are in contact even after 20 years now.. and are taking pain to find more of our college friends, meeting regularly, extending uur help to each other, in case needed and much more.. thanks to social media, lot of seniors also have found many of us and are good friends today.

Exam Structure

Same as Delhi university colleges. We used to have practicals as well as theory exams. invigilators were strict and wanted the students who were well prepared to perform well. At the same time, students who did not work hard enought to score well, were handled accordingly. Overall, exams structure was satisfactory for all.

Admission

There was cut-off based admission. It was way back in 1993. Cut-off was a little low at that time, but now, it competes with other campus colleges. We did not need to get into the college and go counter to counter.. we got all relevantg information at the gate of the college and it was one visit admission. I got free in less an hour because I was given complete information about required documents. Clerical staff is helpful and there never was a hassle in queues to get admission, after the cutoffs were declared.

Faculty

5

As mentioned above, faculty was all highly qualified and supportive. They would take all classes seriously and were very cooperative with students who wanted to study as well as those who didn't. They would care of each student as if the student is their own child, while still giving them a freedom, they need in college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
