Remarks

The admission process was very straightforward. It was based on the 12th board's marks. Although the criteria have been revised now to include CUET scores rather than boards, it still remains very similar. There is no GD or PI process and the admission is based solely on marks. The fee for one semester is around INR 30000 and a large majority of the seats are reserved (the breakup for seat availability is given on the college website). The inclusion of an additional aptitude-based test would probably enhance the quality of the batch, otherwise, the process is flawless.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course since I wanted to pursue B.Com. hons from 12th itself. The faculty is amazing and all teachers take a hands-on approach to teaching. There are regular assessments and everyone is extremely supportive and helpful. The exams are of moderate difficulty and everyone is usually able to pass with a decent CGPA.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many internships are available with an average stipend of around 40,000, an average duration of 2 months. Around 40 companies visited with 150+ offers. Companies like Deutsche Bank, JSW, HUL, Deloitte, EY etc. visit the campus for internships. The highest package is 2.25 lakhs per month. Roles include marketing, HR, finance, consulting, audit, etc.

Placement Experience

5

Internship season starts around 3rd semester and goes on till the end of 4th semester. After this, at the start of the 5th semester, the placements begin with companies like McKinsey and BCG visiting campus. Over 150 companies extend 600+ offers and the highest package is 31 LPA, an average of 12 LPA, which is more than many MBA colleges. 70-90% of students get placed and many people pursue CA and can get articles on campus too. People also pursue actuaries, CFA, CMA etc. However, it is very competitive and everyone is very hardworking so it is difficult to stand out amongst a crowd of toppers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 30,000 per year for general category students. It is further discounted to help people from other reserved categories. The financial assistance is provided in the form of over 25 scholarships, all of which barring one are need-based or need cum merit-based. There have been insignificant to no fee hikes in the past 2-3 years. The scope of placements and jobs is immense and almost everyone who sits for on-campus placements gets a job, even now during the recession period. The average package is approximately 12 LPA and the lowest is around 4 LPA. The highest ever is 31 LPA.

Campus Life

4.5

There are virtually endless clubs for all interests from dance to reading to singing to writing to drama. Fests are conducted almost every other month and the college is super active in terms of extracurriculars. The classroom amenities are a bit bleak as the number of rooms is usually less than the actual intake of the college. Therefore, sometimes exams are conducted in hallways as rooms can't accommodate everyone. Books and journals are available in huge abundance. The library is on 2 floors and every book imaginable is available. The process of issuing a book and returning is automated and very efficient.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
