Remarks

Yes, I want a change in the admission process. Students get admission on the basis of their marks in Higher secondary, this is totally wrong. Causes of this, many ideal students don't get an opportunity to take admission. If there is an Exam for admission to this university, this may be a good decision to select good students.

I choose this course because I belong to an agricultural family, so I want to improve my knowledge about the most important thing, agriculture. About 130 students in a year. There are around 500 students in UG and also has PG and Ph.D. students about 200. The university, BCKV is an updated university all over west Bengal, and study has to give in a smart way and also be practical. In one year 2-semester exam was held. The time gap between semesters is 6 months.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is an internship for management. For collecting data from different places farmers. And this is helpful for everyone who is related to agriculture. To improve the process of agriculture.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for a semester are 6800 including remaining all fees like travel, library, lab fees, etc. There have no specific scholarships for students, scholarships individually depend on students' owns.

Campus Life

There is held a beautiful program named 'NABARUN' which is called freshers. And also Faculty tour also held. The library is one of the best libraries in India. Very good quality of each and every classroom. Have an Annual Sports and there have many cultural festivals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
