Course Curriculum Overview

It is provided by JNTUH(Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Uniersity - Hyderabad). Different subjects will be covered through out the academics related to computer science.Programming languages - C, C++, Java, Unix Shell Programming Databases . My SQL Others HTML, CSS, Data Mining and Data Ware house.

Internships Opportunities

We have got the companies only for placements. No company provided internship even for candidates placed in respective companies. So, no matter of stipend then.

Placement Experience

Around 30 placed among 60 from our section. TCS 3 lakhs, Syntel - 3 lakhs, Sonata - 4.5 lakhs, Infotech - 2.5 lakhs, Wipro - 2.8 lakhs, Trianz - 3 lakhs.

College Events

We have in total 3 events in an academic year.They are Pragnya, Pulse and Rodeo. Pragnya is a technical fest in which students from various colleges all over the state will come and participate in paper presentations, robotics and lan gaming. Pulse is a cultural fest where we will have cultural programmes in morning and a special guest appearance by a famous singer one for each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

30,000 is the college fee per year and 10,000 per year including bus fee and an additional fee of 1000 for examinations have to be paid for each semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship and loan facility is available from college. Government offered scholarship for SC, ST, BC and EBC students.

Campus Life

College will provide infra for games like volleyball, basketball, badminton and cricket. There is a group for IEEE enthusiasts which conducts events on behalf of IEEE like paper presentations.

Hostel Facilities

There is no hostel facility available. We have stayed in PG's near by. It will cost 3000 per person in PG along with food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

We didn't have much interaction with seniors as college maintained a policy of different college timings for all the 4 years to avoid ragging. But yes we do interact with seniors a bit at the time of Pragnya event organization by our department(CSE).

Exam Structure

There will be 2 mid semester exams and final exams for each semester along with 2 labs in each semester.

Faculty

There are different types of faculty we have came across. Some will teach what ever in their way and just leave the class once the time up. Some will interact with students very much.

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
