Remarks

Qualify JEE mains. Participate in JOSAA/ CSAB counseling. Branch will be allowed to your rank. Once you finalize the college and branch then physical reporting and document verification will be done in the Institute you have opted for. These steps are very easy then further you can continue to enjoy college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty are experienced in their respective courses. Fully dedicated to providing their there level best In every aspect of student's problems, reachable. Courses are related to engineering curriculum remembering the COs ( course outcomes). Papers are also designed according to Co's.

Internship drive in offline mode is not carried out here but this year some companies have started to visit here. And most of the students get their internships in our college internships coordinators and the T&P department doing its best to provide the internships.

Placement Experience

The average in the electrical department is 7.5LPA and placements in the IT sector are increasing rapidly with an average package of 10LPA and the highest of last year 42LPA at Microsoft. The training and placement department is highly active to increase placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee 65000 per semester ( income above 5 lakh). If income is between 1 to 5 lakh 2/3 of fees you have to pay. Below 1 lakh / st/sc category No fees only registration fees of 2300 per semester. Hostel fees 80000 per sem. Mess fees 23000 per sem.

Campus Life

College life is nice you will enjoy the best moments of your life here. There are many clubs to enhance the student's interest. The infrastructure is nice with hostels, academics, libraries, etc. As much as you do interaction with your batchmates senior college life will become more pretty.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
