Entrance Preview

Engineering CET. I chose SPIT college since it was reputed and offered great education. It offers various streams like computer, IT, extc and electronics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was great. There were eight semesters. The first year was same for all courses. From second year onward there were specialized subjects. There were practical sessions which included lab work on computers. There was focus on programming subjects like Java.

Internships Opportunities

No it does not provide internship. It provides placements generally in the third year. During are time it provided placements in the fourth year due to recession.

Placement Experience

5

SPIT offers very good placement opportunities. There are various companies like Infosys, TCS, SunGard, Deloitte, JP Morgan etc. that came to the campus. Around 90% students were placed. Many were offered multiple jobs as well. Companies like Infosys and TCS offered 3.25 LPA. Other companies like SunGard and JP Morgan offered packages above 5 LPA.

College Events

5

The main event celebrated was SPACE. They had various events like dance, fashion shows. One of the major events was treasure hunt. Students had to volunteer for various events. This helped them develop various ideas. They were able to organize better and work as teams. Other colleges were invited to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. The fees was Rs. 44000 for one year. There were scholarship options and other quotas for students. The fee structure covered labs and infrastructure cost. Additional charges were for buying books and other Stationary.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships available.based on student merit. There are also student loans. If a student achieves distinction in a particular year he is eligible to apply for scholarship. I have not availed of any of these.

Campus Life

4.5

There were around 60 students in our class. Around 20 girls and 40 boys. There were various extracurricular activities like dance events, college festival like space. Students from different backgrounds attended the college and git along really well.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There was a girl hostel and boys hostel within the campus. It was able to accommodate students well. Students had to share rooms. The pg and rental facilities were ranging from 2000-5000 Rs. Per month. The college campus had a mess and canteens as well.

Alumni/Alumna

The college offers great network and senior students are very helpful. They are helpful in providing study material and guidance in terms of project and lab work.

Exam Structure

Every semester used to have a mid term followed by labs, vivas and final exams. It was well spaced out giving adequate study leaves for preparations. The mid term exam was generally for 25 marks. The final exams were for 100. The viva depended on subjects.

Admission

I had to give engineering entrance CET. Based on the score I had to fill a cap form with the preference of colleges. Based on the score colleges students were admitted in the college. I got through in cap round 3. Once the admission was guaranteed I paid the fees and submitted my documents. This was followed by college joining and orientation.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was great. They focused on each subject. They taught with practical examples. They were supportive during lab work. During the last year there were various mentors assigned for projects. This helped in gaining experience in project work and interacting with people. It also helped us work in teams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bachelor of education (B.ed) is a professional couse and hence I pursued this couse as I want govt job . Teachers are very helpful and internship was easy , we completed our internship at ease . They sent us to local schools which have less to no facilities, some school lack basic amenities such as bathroom and water . Even some schools have 10-20 student. All the schools are marathi medium , I was allotted rashtra saint tukdoji vidyalaya and sushil himmatsinghka vidyalaya, both are top school of wardha but the distance is too much.
