Remarks

The admission procedure was smooth. I got admission through keam 3rd allotment and all the other requirements were done that day itself including fee payment. There was no lag in the process. I don't feel the need for improvement in the admission procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams that are sem exams were all up to date and the schedule was tight during my 2 sems due to covid but being persistent in studies all the exams can be cracked easily without any tension. Sem exams were conducted with a good timetable and enough study leaves.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 9860 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

From S6 onwards students are eligible for placement. Mostly visited companies include; Qburst, Infosys, Cognizant, Byjus, IBM, Bajaj, etc. Last year 256 offers were received via placements. The highest package ever got was 12lpa. And the average is 4.56lpa. About 90 %, of eligible students, get placed. My plan is to get into a product-based company like Google after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Egrants, Pragathi, MCM, etc are some of the scholarships available. All the other scholarships available are also promoted by the college. Financial assistance is provided by organizations via college if you have some great ideas for startups etc.

Campus Life

The annual tech fest in college is Dhruva it is conducted during the month of November. It is conducted under the club ICI under the civil department. Books are available in the library according to your choice. there is also a department library where you can take books at home for the entire sem. Clubs available are IEEE, ISTE, ROBOCEK, IEDC,GDEC.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.

An honest review of GCE KANNUR by a student

The college is merit based admission college, to get admission in this college you have to write an entrance exam which is KEAM and I have a rank of 16000 in KEAM So the college I first confirmed admission was GEC Kozhikode which was a good college but the campus was too small so there was a spot admission which was held by GCE kannur and I applied for it The admission process is managed by KEAM they give you a date to take admission and the process gets done in 2hrs you have to be physically present with your parents , The overall admission experience was smooth and well managed by the faculties...Read More
