Remarks

I was admitted to this college through WBJEE counseling. You should get a rank under 20k in WBJEE to get admission to this college's CSE department. There are some types of reservation benefits like Management Quota and TFW quota in the college but I haven't availed of any of them. I will appreciate the fact if the management quota system can be removed but I don't think it is possible as it is a Private college after all.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have heard about the CSE department of MSIT is quite famous. Here the teachers in our department are really good and well-qualified. Especially our HOD is probably the best HOD you will have ever seen. He is so chilled. Faculty: The student ratio is around 1:12. Don't worry much about term exams. Here teachers help a lot.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 483000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was 4 lac 83k in my time but now it is increased to 5 lac+. If you are eligible for TFW then the cost will be half. Here we opt for the SVMCM scholarship which is provided by the WB government for HS-passed students. When it is to on-campus placement, I want to say this college is better than 90% of private colleges in West Bengal. The previous year, the Highest package was 32 LPA.

Campus Life

Campus life isn't that good here as the campus is very small. Yes, you can see here the annual fest, Tech-fests, freshers, etc. MIT's library is really good. We are also having a sports complex in our college where you can play TT, carrom, etc. There are music club, cultural club, Rotaract club, and Tech club in our college.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality
