Doesn't worth it, even for 80 %ile in JEE MAINS

I got into this college by mistake. I was not aware of this college during the counseling process. I filled it in the list thinking it was an IIIT. I got into this college through JoSAA/CSAB counseling. All the eligibility criteria are the same as of jee mains. The reservation criteria and percentage are also the same as in JoSAA/CSAB. Most of the students did the same problem as me.

The course curriculum is almost the same as that of IITs. The faculties are super awesome. All the facilities have done their P.H.Ds from reputed colleges like IITs, NITs e.t.c. Faculties are having great knowledge in their respective subjects and fields. Semester exams happen after 2.5 months.

Placements are not satisfactory. You cannot expect a 3-3.5LPA package after spending 9-10 lakhs for this degree. It will take 3 years to get your money back only which you have invested in pursuing this degree. The placement percentage is also very low(got to know this while discussing with seniors). There is no single data available on its website regarding package and placement percentage.

The fee of this college is very high as compared to the rest of govt. colleges/GFTIs. Its fee is approx 2.25 lakhs/year(for candidates admitted through JoSAA/CSAB) and 1.5lakhs/yr (for candidates admitted thru ACPC counseling/GUJCET exam). Scholarships are only available for ACPC students (ACPC is the counseling of Gujarat state).

The campus is very small having only one building for everything like the administration department, Labs, classroom, library, reading room, and seminar hall(capacity of 150-200 people). So you cannot expect a campus life in this college. It will give you the feeling of school life.

A hostel facility is available but it's quite far away from the college. It's not on the college campus. The college has taken AMC(Ahmedabad municipal corporation) building on lease and has accommodated its students there. This AMC hostel is for all-year girls and 1st-year boys only. It's 2kms away from college. You will have to use your means to reach college. And the other hostel named hathijan is also on lease and it's 10kms away from college. Bus facility is being provided by the college without any extra cost.
