Remarks
The program I opted for was BA hon Geography. The admission was merit-based and I got admission on the first list. The admission process was quite simple, I just registered myself physically in the window, and after that, there was just verification of the documents and the selection of elective subjects. All this happened in just a couple of hours.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the subject because of its diversity and my interest in the physical environment and its conservation. The faculty of the college was definitely amazing. The course was a bit new to me but the teachers helped me in the process too much. Their way of teaching and connecting with the students makes us comfortable around them and I was really overwhelmed when the teacher was helping me even after college hours. The term examinations were conducted on timely basis as per the pre-structured plan, with that the class tests and mock exams are pretty frequent to prepare students for the coming big examinations. Also there were frequent presentations taken from the students to make the teaching more interactive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course BA hon. Geography was was approx 12000 and I think this is a pretty reasonable fee for the course since it is not being taught in many colleges. As for the scholarship, I don't have much idea about it since I never applied for the same.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called LEHREN and is very amazing where different famous people and celebrities are invited as chief guests. The library is really big with two stories and is fully equipped. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and ACs in labs. The college pays more attention to the NCC, NSS and several other sports like basketball. There are several societies like dance, debate, drama, art and culture, nukkad naatak and many more.
