Remarks

The eligibility for BCom Hons was based on the 12th class grades and the overall percentage and also on the Delhi universities cut-offs. For admission to Daulat ram college students have to go to college and there was a helping desk which would provide you with the admission form and give all the necessary information about all the documents you needed in order to fulfil all the requirements of the procedure. And then you can go to the particular department of college like the commerce department for BCom hons there they will check your grades and your documents along with Delhi universities cut-offs if you are eligible for admission they will tell you to proceed further with it. You can avail of reservation benefits if you have certain documents for proof. Honestly, the admission procedure was smooth and it was very fast. In the end, when your admission procedure is finished they tell you to deposit the fees through the net or any other e-payment modes.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty members are good and the course curriculum was excellent in Daulat ram. Because teachers were very supportive and always provided us with extra materials and also take extra tuts so that students can have a better learning experience. Generally, there are at least 3 sections in each department and there are around 40 students in each class. Also, the classrooms are big so there is no problem with the infrastructure. Most of the faculty members are phd degree holders and teachers always take mid-term exams and other presentations and group discussions to strengthen the student's knowledge. For 1 semester we have semester exams and mid-term exams. And teachers are interested in taking the extra tests and presentations. It is easy to pass mid-term exams because the syllabus is usually not too much. But semester exams cover the whole syllabus so unless you study better it is not possible to get good grades.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is flexible. Students don't need to pay a fee for each semester but the fee is submitted for each year along with the examination fee. So there is no extra burden to pay other fees. You can also avail scholarships and financial assistance. Sometimes it is for reserved categories and also for those who came from a weak financial background. But for other students, there are plenty of internship opportunities and these internships also provide a good stipend. While I was doing my first internship I got 8000 per month I was in the marketing and sponsorship department. And the working hours were pretty flexible considering you are also trying to graduate with good marks.

Campus Life

5

Each department and each college society has its own fests along with an annual fest. There are also other fests like Diwali mela and Holi mela and a Christmas fest. The annual fest of Daulat ram college is called majari. There are plenty of books available in the library and also for those who can't afford to buy course books they can get them from the library for free and then return them after giving exams. Classrooms have smart boards, projectors and A/Cs. DRC (Daulat Ram College) has a separate building and a department for sports. And there are many sports and opportunities in which you can participate. There are no social groups or clubs everything but there are societies for each and everything from dance to saving the environment and you can be a member of those societies and these societies are funded by college not students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
