Remarks
As admissions in DU colleges are on a merit basis for UG programmes for most of the courses, the cutoff is pretty much near 100 per cent for top colleges ( north campus), I had nearly 90 per cent in boards but still didn't get to top colleges so that shows the competition for the seats. As for the process it was offline earlier but since 2020, it's been done online due to covid. Reservations can help you get better at college so find that. IMO the admissions should be done at the entrance.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Geography because I thought to devote my time in Delhi to UPSC as most of the students do(nuts IMHO). The geography department is the most coveted department in the SBSEC. faculty members aren't good but aren't that bad either. The atmosphere is good TBH. Exams wouldn't be of concern for students who got such high marks in their schools even if they give time for college during exam times, but being regular helps as teachers notice you and that could come in handy.
Internships Opportunities
The students are mostly here to prepare for civil exams or they already have a secure future in their family business so most of the people students and teachers don't really care about the placements and neither are there available any. Few job workshops are organised but they don't do anything that attracts the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the geography department is nearly 8 thousand plus 2k for the examination fee for a whole year. Those who have financial difficulties can apply for aid in college itself, and they return the nearly full amount of the college fee.
Campus Life
The best part of the college is the extra curriculum activities, there are a lot of societies, sports groups etc Cetera. The library is awesome, the canteen is not so much. Classrooms aren't furnished. But as far as you're looking for fun activities you're going to be happy (not if you're an introvert like me).
