JAMIA : an institution outside the four walls

Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the renowned universities in the world. It has a beautiful campus with excellent faculty for all the departments. It provides you ample amount of opportunities to grow and learn basically how the real world works. I am a second-year student of Bcom (Hons.) in JMI. The admission process is quite simple.I had given an entrance exam and the cutoff for the year 2021 was 49/100. It is quite easy to score. It Is very beneficial for Muslims as it provides 30% reservation to all Muslim candidates. It has also some quotas for Muslim female candidates. You can find the application form on their website. The whole admission process is online and you just have to go to college for submitting your documents after clearing the entrance exam. overall JMI is a great University. It would help you in the future. It has a great Alumni network which would be very beneficial for you. If you are looking to take admitted in this college then I must say ..go for it.

I chose BCom Hons because it helps and gives you a better headstart if you are looking to pursue professional degrees like CA, CS, CFA, etc. The faculty is also very good as most of them are Ph.D. holders.

Jamia provides you with a large number of opportunities. The placements cell here is very active and the students give their best to call the best of the best recruiters from around India. Students here get internship opportunities at Google, Microsoft and IBM, and many more renowned companies with a good stipend of up to 50000 INR.

Students get eligible for campus placements from the 5 semesters themselves if they are pursuing a degree of 3 years. Latest by 6 semesters if they are pursuing a degree of 4 or 4+ years. The highest package for becomes Hons was 7 lakh rupees and for BTech was 44 lakh rupees. Almost 80% of the batch of all the courses gets placed. I plan to pursue MBA IN Finance after completing my becomes Hons degree from here itself

The fees in Jamia are very nominal. You just have to pay 21600 for the entire course of 3 years. You also get a lot of scholarships and internship opportunities which would provide you with good stipends.

Jamia hosts one of the best fests. Clubs and societies are also very active here. some of the best societies to join are GAEE JMI, MATHS GEEK JMI, and many more. They provide you with ample amount of opportunities that would help you to grow yourself. The sports complex is also very huge comprising one of the best cricket stadiums in Delhi.
