Remarks

The application form is available on the RKMVERI website just filled the form and apply for the course. The eligibility of the course is 50% marks needed in the B.Sc course and anyone from any discipline from B.Sc can apply to the course of Agriculture and Rural Development. During the time of admission, it is needed only 150 rupees to fill out the form.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course which I have chosen is agriculture and Rural Development which have given me an opportunity to get in dept knowledge about the society and the people of different communities and it is needed to have knowledge about the rural areas as 60% of the people resides in the rural areas. I especially wanted to explore the new societies and communicate with the new communities, especially the tribal communities that's why I am taking the course. All of the faculty members used smart methods to teach and they offered a good field exposure to the student which helped to develop them as a development professional. The student-faculty ratio is good, each and every student are given full care and attention

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The university has given me the opportunity to do an internship at Child in Need Institute a leading NGO in India as well as in West Bengal where I have learned how to work on a project, especially in women and child development and it also helped me to enhance my documentation skill.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is a placement cell in the university which is dedicated to providing placement to all of the students of the course. Mostly the placement is at NGO sectors and it provides placement of on an average 30 thousand per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university course is quite affordable to all the students from all backgrounds as it is only 36000 per year. It also assisted students in getting scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means scholarship, Single Girl child scholarship etc which is helpful for the students.

Campus Life

4

Life on campus is very good. It is a very disciplined campus life as it follows the ideology of Vivekananda. The classes have all smart setup. The university gives the opportunity the students to participate in extracurricular activities and explore themselves.

Interview Experience

4

There is a written as well as a Personal Interview session. Based on the marks of these two one can be shortlisted. I had prepared for admission by following the syllabus that the university has given and it is a basic preparation which consists of rural development programs, agriculture-related issues in India

Other Applied Colleges

Amity University | M.Sc in Geoinformatics

I didn't opt for the college because I had taken the admission during covid and my father had lost his job during covid so it was quiet difficult for me to join the course and I opted for an another university in West Bengal.

Placement Experience:

Calcutta University has an active placement cell that plays a crucial role in securing jobs for students. Companies like EXL, Genpact, Infosis regularly visit campus for requirement and the average package offered to students is around 6-6.5 LPA. I have plan, go for Ph. D. or some specialized courses after completing my M.Sc. course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very well planned which does a great job in bringing out the best of the students. They are designed thoughtfully so that it becomes easier of students to decide their future prospects. The exams are moderately tough. If one follows the lectures and attends classes regularly and study with dedication it is very much possible to ace the exams. Although one thing is a bit concerning for the students is the duration of the semesters. Such huge syllabus becomes a bit challenging for the students to cover up inthe time allotted for each semesters. But the teachers do their best to guide the students to excel in the exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nowadays the future as a Biotechnology student is bright as it has a lot of industrial options. The faculty-student ratio is 1:6, all professors are completed their Ph.D. and they are very efficient in both online and offline mode. There are 4 CA, and 2 PCA in one semester as an internal exam, the difficulty level of that exam is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a professor in Botany so I did choose Msc and I have to pursue Ph.D. to be a professor. In our college botany seats for postgraduate student is very limited. We had around 22 students and we had 5 professors of botany. So our student-faculty ratio was very good. It is 4-5 students for one professor. Our professors were very much educated and were willing to teach us deeply. They took both online classes and offline practical classes. They were very open-minded and used to do interactive PowerPoint presentations in the classes. We had four semesters. And in every semester we had to pass all the papers. However, there is an internal assessment test before every semester
