Remarks

One can fill up a form when the admission process is ongoing. This process is based on marks of the 12th standard. Another process is by attending ICAR AIEEA. This exam is based on physics, chemistry, and biology.

I chose this course because I heard that a lot of scopes have been in this course. The faculty and student ratio is average. Qualification of faculty is high. There are a lot of exams. Mid-term, practical, viva, end-term, assignment etc have to submit. Not hard to pass but hard to score a good GPA.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 14500 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunity is not good. As major students aspired for junior research fellowship. The college does not provide any internship facility. Projects are done by professors mainly. Students can do internships of their own will.

Fees and Financial Aid

BCKV is one of those agricultural universities where fees are low. Approximately 7500 per semester. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Scholarship, OASIS etc scholarship can be applied by eligible students.

Campus Life

Freshers programme, farewell programme, annual sports, inter-year cultural competitions etc are held. Bonding among students is very strong. Campus life is good. Indoor games like tt and outdoor games like volleyball, cricket, footfall, and badminton are available.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is too good. Every room is well ventilated and has a balcony. The hostel facility is good. Quality of meal is also good and hygiene is maintained. No pg Or rented room is required. The overall hostel is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 110 per year

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
