Life at IIM Amristar

Students who have completed bachelor's are eligible for MBA. The entrance is via the CAT exam and then the interview is conducted. The application is accepted online after clearing the cut-off. It would be great if the cutoff could be increased to improve the batch quality

I have always been interested in management and even while pursuing my bachelor's in technology, I used to think more like an entrepreneur. Having a post-grad degree from an esteemed IIM would help me support my family and dreams as well. The faculty-student ratio is decent right now and there are enough professors available for quick questions and doubts. The faculty, as expected is highly qualified and many of them are from foreign universities. The term exams require a thorough knowledge of the subjects

The students are eligible to go for placements from the 2nd year onwards. A lot of companies visit the reputed college for recruitment. Some would be amazon, Deloitte, HCL, and so on. The highest package offered in front of me was around 26 LPA while the average goes around 15LPA. A very high number (greater than 90%) of the students get placed every year. After graduation, I plan to work in a reputed company, earning for my family and myself

The fees remain the same as mentioned during the time of admission throughout the course (two years). It costs around 6.6 lacs a year and a total of 13.2 lacs for two years of study. Other than that, there can be personal expenditure too.

AArunya is the annual management cultural and sports fest conducted at IIM Amritsar for the students where people from all over the country join and participate. The library is well equipped with books needed by the students regularly. It's easy to check in and check out as well. The students can participate in sports and extracurricular at their leisure but mostly don't due to academic work.

I learned from the internet about going to the interview and being able to do well. I started with an introduction about myself, followed by questions like why IIM Amritsar and what other places did you apply to.
