Remarks
You can get into any government medical College to study MBBS only via taking NEET(UG) examination. I also took the examination in 2022 and secured 627 /720. The examination is highly competitive and difficult to crack because the number of appearing students is approximately more than 19 lacs and it keeps on increasing every year. What makes it even more competitive is the number of govt seats providing Mbbs courses which are near about only 43k. That is the selection percentage is only1 %. If we talk about cut-offs in 2018-550, 2019-570,2020-590 and in 2021-595. These are all India quota(for only 15% of the seats) cut off i.e colleges were closed at this scores. Now there is another quota called state quota(for 85% of the seats), here marks usually are lesser than AQI except in Rajasthan, and Delhi. Once you get allotted a College, you go to the college for document verification and there you get your enrollment receipt and that's it you are all set to become a responsible Doctor.
Course Curriculum Overview
M.B.B.S is just not only a degree to earn money or acquire Knowledge but also it teaches you the way to live life and safe life. When you hear your patients saying Thank you, doctor, it just fills your heart with gratefulness. But with this feeling comes great responsibility, You have 19 subjects to complete just in 4.5 years cuz last year is full of internships. In that, you have to prepare for Neet Pg as well. You barely get time to work on your hobbies but somehow we medicos find time to do so. Studying for long stretch hours is just a way to live. Hostel life, seniors and good friends are all worth it. Now speaking of the teachers in our college. They all are excellent doctors.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government medical colleges are very cheap compared to what they provide us. So MBBS is divided into 5 proffs. Each proff with 2 semesters. For each sem fee is 5000 (for my college as it varies extensively in every other college) Hostel fee-120 rs and mess food fee-80 The college organises many events to evolve one's hobbies be it tennis, basketball, football, singing, dancing, swimming etc. But tbh one really doesn't get time to take part in all of it since the study load is very intensive so is the workload from 3rd year. But trust me it is all worth it the moment someone calls you a doctor. You may lose a few hairs on your head but will gain respect multiple times.
